I became a board member for Compassion Connection because I was amazed at the tri-fold counseling/coaching/caring approach to ministry. For an organization that is just 5 years old, it has grown exponentially to serving hundreds of families in the Pittsburgh region. Often, when a person comes in need of counseling, there are other unmeet needs that the coaching groups can meet. At Christmastime, Compassion Connection makes it possible for hundreds of chidren who would otherwise go without presents to enjoy some gifts of the season in a Christian spirit. What a wonderful, healthy, and well-run organization!

Mission: Compassion connection, inc. Is a faith-based non-profit that exists to transform lives through christian counseling, coaching and caring. Our vision is love that transforms lives.
Programs: Counseling center: the counseling center has eleven counselors with master's degree or better. They provide counseling in the areas of marriage, family, pre-marital, addictions, depression, anxiety, developmental/educational psychology, lifespan development for child/adult disorders, bi-polar, dissociative and psychotic disorders, and domestic violence.
coaching classes and support groups: coaching classes and support groups include the following: addiction recovery, anger management, bereavement support, cancer support, conflict resolution, deaf ministry, divorce care, financial management, co- dependency support, marriage enrichment using prepare/enrich materials, marriage mentoring, parenting classes, pre-marriage mentoring, stress management, weight loss. Some are as-needed, some on-going, and some by semester.
caring services: caring services include: mentoring for children and youth, gently used clothing and merchandise sale, toy treasures (christmas gift distibution).
