Compassion in action is contagious. When I decided to volunteer for the Compassion Advocacy Network , ( or C. A. N. As it’s often referred as) You see, I didn’t know how true this statement would be or the effect it would have on me.
It started with filling a few boxes and bags for those in need. Not just food, but other items that could be needed or wanted like a notebook, socks or a deck of playing cards. Although this might seem to be something small or insignificant , we see it as a way to build connection and care for our community . Compassion is behind every box every bag, every card, and every member with C.A.N. It often touches those who have been forgotten, overlooked, or dismissed or maybe feel as if they are no longer a valuable part of society.
The incredible people with this Non Profit Organization see everyone through the lens of genuine love and respect and not through race, clothing tags, or pedigree. Their goal is to show others they are still loved, cared for and valued while treating them with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
I am a firm believer of letting your light shine and what better way to do that then to be a light that beams with kindness, hope, unwavering love, and compassion to everyone.
If you are looking to be a volunteer for an organization, that is truly making a difference please join us at Compassion Advocacy Network And you will have your light shining a whole lot brighter too!
This organization provides such a need in the community that others should truly donate to and/or begin to volunteer with! I have participated in donating to them, worked with their founder on many occasions, and have seen the work they do to assist the seniors in the community! They provide such love and care to our seniors without asking anything in return, other than seeing them smile!! Though they may only get a meal, some toiletries, a few gifts here and there, the amount of good they provide to these "forgotten" seniors is tremendous!! I commend this group and they assistance they provide to our seniors!! Please do your part and assist them in any way you can, donating time and/or finances, and you will feel a sense of joy that you haven't felt before!! You will ensure that the "forgotten" seniors will be able to feel they are KNOWN!!
I have had the honor of volunteering with this wonderful organization. As a volunteer I have witnessed true compassion in action in the Hampton Roads area, from providing meals at a low income housing community to delivering and providing food for seniors and low income communities throughout the Hampton Roads area. We are lucky to have such a giving, caring non profit organization in this area
Compassion Advocacy Network help us during our effort to give food to families in need. They donated pallets worth of food to the local community. They are always giving, and looking for an opportunity to help.
This is a non-profit with a heart. The directors really love people and want to help make their lives a little easier and happier. They do a great service to the elderly and their families in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia as well as the Carolinas and Florida. I'm really impressed with all they do for others in need.
I volunteered with CAN in August. I was amazed at how many elderly benefitted from the resources available. They provided not just canned goods, but fresh vegetables, meats, cheeses, pet food, etc. The participates where able to get their fill of what they needed. Even behind the mask the recipients felt the compassion from every volunteer. I am looking forward to volunteering again in October. This is definitely a organization worthy of your donation of money time or both.

A fabulous nonprofit that lives their mission statement daily. They truly are committed to helping better people's lives and work relentlessly to that end.
I am a local business owner in Chesapeake, Va. Observing the efforts of CAN, Inc. is astonishing. Johnathan has helped so many people in the area by either bill assistance, groceries, mentoring or simply being an emotional support system. I have given my financial support to this organization both professionally and personally and will continue in the future.
I started a business but lost everything all in the same month. I did not know how I was going to eat let along run a business. Welp god sent me C.A.N. and they made sure me and my kids had food to eat and they also connected me with ways to continuously feed my children. There is no way to repay all that has been given.
Rev. Stanley is by far one of the most kind, loving and caring human being I have ever had the pure pleasure of meeting. I'm currently going through some tuff life issues right now and Rev. Stanley has been by my side giving me strong guidance and support. I am deeply moved by his compassion and love of others around him. I am proud to say Johnathan is my friend. Thank you Rev. Stanley and keep up this great mission. Once all is said and done with me here at current situation I promise you I will NOT forget the love and concern you have shown to me.
I assisted with an outreach and was thouroughly amazed by the efficiency with which clients were served. In addition, the compassion extended to those who were reached was top notch! I will definitely be volunteering more with them!

I drive the bus that we fill with food and groceries each month and go out in the community to give it out to those in need. It is Compassion on the move.
This charity really cares about people and much of the work they do benefits the elderly. With government benefits and assistance being cut and resources for the elderly scarce, C.A.N. steps in to let them know that they are not alone and forgotten. I am proud to volunteer with Compassion Advocacy Network!
This organization has a tremendous heart for the elderly. There are not many food resources available to the elderly in our communities. Compassion Advocacy Network works hard to connect the elderly with the resources they need.

This charity has redefined what means to be compassionate. Best part, the upper management knows how to get their hands dirty too:)
This charity is very good to their volunteers. I love working with a team that is organized and with people that love what they are doing. It is in the name "Compassion!" Compassionately is how they treat the people they serve and the volunteers that help them.
