Was mistreated badly because my husband is of a different race than I. The lady that ran the place went from being nice to rude and condescending. Was given the run around until our situation changed. And she knew it was going to. Wanted more and more frequent visits. Nothing we did was good enough because we are of different races. Regret being unable to adopt from here

This organization is truly a fantastic place. They are wonderful people that truly care about the well being of the birds. They are not a PetSmart so don't expect to just walk in and get a bird. For the well being of the birds they very carefully screen anyone that wants to adopt. This is a great practice as too many people don't understand that birds are very intelligent creatures and require much knowledge about their care. This organization puts the well being of the birds above anything else. Great organization.

NOTICE: YOU MUST TEST EVERY BIRD IN YOUR HOUSE FOR BIRD FLU BEFORE ADOPTING!!!

We WERE NOT TOLD THIS JUICE DETAIL UNTIL MY THIRD Four hour drive!!!

This place DOES NOT fully tell you what hoops they are putting you thru...seriously. Just adopt a REAL CHILD. ..they put you thru the same hassle and fuss!!!

I cannot believe they are doing this!!!

Future potentials...just go in fully warned: you want even a small bird, they will expect you to accommodate it in a several hundred dollar cage. No, not kidding.

They will expect to come and inspect your house.

And they will offer free classes... UT this last one...dropped on us out of no where after we had gone through and been prepared to tolerate EVERYTHING ELSE WAS THE LAST STRAW.

SO BE WARNED!!!

Parrots live a long time and many companion birds are shuffled from household to household. This organization does a fabulous job finding new homes for these beautiful, intelligent birds.
