Mission: CWEP is a community-based education organization that was founded in 1977 to address the social and economic inequities that affect at-risk families. For thirty years CWEP has served as a gateway to self-sufficiency for vulnerable adults who are facing the challenges of low literacy skills, learning disabilities and failure in school and work-often coupled with mental health issues and drug and alcohol use. A leader in the adult literacy community, CWEP provides a continuum of education programs, vital support services and connections to the workplace.
