We build sturdy Conestoga Hut shelters that are pleasing to the eye, create caring and collaborative communities, and provide extensive support that empowers clients to stabilize and rebuild their lives.

This Company is not what they would want you to believe, Several of them use fear tactics to get their way, either threatening to throw residents back on the street with 0-72 hours notice for absurd reasons, The majority of people that go there for help have mental disabilities, or problems with addiction or some other behavioral disorder and their is not one certified.professional that im aware of working there, their counselors have no business acting as counselors as they are mostly people that either were or still are in the same situation(s) as the homeless the pretend to help, One nice Lady with a mental disability and was a victim of domestic violence that was housed under their care had her abuser housed not only in the same camp but right next to her, there's no room for that type of incompetence in this field, lives are literally at stake and the people that are given the responsibility over those lives have no education to qualify them and are flat out bullies threatening to kick residents out on a daily basis, more then half these people suffer from PTSD brought on from their experiences living on the street so their scared to death of their threats and too frightened to speak up of the abuse sustained at the hands of CSS counselors and employees, residents of CSS are sexually harassed and discriminated against on a daily basis, CSS demands that you attend a meeting at noon every week and each camp has its specific day it is held, These meetings are of very little importance and most of the time consists of just residents complaining about whichever residents aren't present at that meeting, Now if you happen to have a job your excused from the weekly meeting but you need to have a paper signed by your employer to prove employment unless you have paycheck stubs, But unfortunately not a lot of established businesses are really out to hire folks from a homeless camp or with certain disabilities so cash jobs are a little easier to come by, Now most grown ups in their lifetime are never required to provide ANYONE with proof of employment with the exception of parolees to their parole officer or probation officer, So I'm sure anyone with at least a middle school education can see the conflict of interest here, Basically presenting your potential new employer with this paper probably 99.9% of the time is gonna nosedive your chances of being hired OR if already an employee it becomes your former employer, Because even with all the very nice and generous sponsors out there
(By the way a note to all who sponsor CSS, The majority of your donations go towards the staff at CSS, whether it be it to fund the "company credit card" used to take each other out for lunch everyday or whatever other BS they come up with to justify fraudulently spent donations but it's most definitely does not to the people living at the camps, They use the bare minimum towards the huts and it's occupants)
There is probably 10X that many people that want nothing to do with the homeless and for lack of a better word "despise" the homeless, which is the feeling you get from most CSS employees, So there's very little trust coming from CSS employees apparently? Because after cooperating with the required letter of proof of employment, They asked for our employers phone number in case of emergency, But instead called to verify employment which immediately led to my wife and my employment being termintated on the spot, Which really set us both back worse then before we went to CSS, We could've have afforded to get our own apartment without any help from them in a matter of only months as we were both being paid well and lucky enough to be hired by the same employer being that we shared one vehicle, CSS never apologized to us for that, It took me several months to find another job and CSS required me to do the proof of employment thing again which I refused the 2nd time due to what happened the first time I followed their orders, And that right there was the beginning of the end for me, Once you end up on their sh#@ list your days are numbered and they apparently don't have to live up to the same laws and standards as landlords and can evict you from what has become your home, Your "Safe spot" as they call it, without any notice if they see fit, 24-48hours is normally the amount of time they allow us to find other living arrangements and to move all our belongings, So pretty much when they decide to kick you out you lose what little you have, And you have to re- learn how to make it on the street all over again, where to go when it drops below freezing, all that stuff you tried to forget so desperately you have to learn all over again, which in my opinion is the worst part, CSS could care less just wants you gone, So CSS decides it's a smart move to hire yet another "former homeless addict" with 0 credentials, But does have a serious So. California gangster attitude BUT also wants to be a ministerto create the ficaud that residents are happy and enjoy living in the huts and give the illusion that all the camps have acceptable living conditions, to fool the sponsors into thinking their charity is is being used well, when infact that couldn't be further from the truth, And because of intimidation tactics and threats no one ever reports these things or any of the abuse , My wife filed a grievance against Gabe whom has a habit of opening the door and walking in residents huts without permission or announcing himself and walked in on my wife while she was half naked and changing and screaming " No No No I'm changing" but to no avail that doesn't even slow ol'Gabe down, nor did CSS reprimand him for doing it, He walked in while she was half naked didn't apologize just stood there looking at her and said he can do what he wants, CSS told my wife that Gabe would not do that again, which he did do it again,and that he no longer would be allowed to be around her by himself, which he constantly did continue to do as well constantly asking her to have lunch with him, This is all of course after he had me kicked out of the camp for not calling him to tell him I was working on a Tues. and wouldn't be able to make it to the mandatory weekly meeting, which no other employed camp member was required to do, I have never had any kind of problem with any staff or residents my entire stay, not even a single argument, but was kicked out and banned from returning by Gabe or he would kick my wife out too! What kind of Wannabe minister tries to separate a man and his wife and forbids him to visit her, There has been one resident that was kicked out for chasing another with a machete and he's allowed to go back and visit at the camp, But not me? There is so much more I could write of equally and even WORSE behavior from the staff at CSS but there's just too much to write, One resident that had a stroke brought on from prior methamphetamine use was trying to get sober but struggled with his addiction, Another resident that happened to sell meth as his source of income and was well aware of his stroke and his struggle with addiction went ahead and sold him a bag of meth, He ended up having another stroke and was rushed to the hospital, when he got back weeks later he was in worse shape then ever and needed help from all of us, And several of us helped as much we could but none of us were in any shape to help him because were all are in need of help ourselves, Anyway CSS did nothing for him except kick him out in the freezing cold cause he was a burden, As for the meth dealer? Well CSS knew all about him selling meth to the other resident and he did leave the camp but he wasnt' kicked out as a disciplinary action, He was rewarded and given a better hut where the employees of CSS that live in huts stay with better facilities and accommodations, And he was also given a job and put on CSS's payroll, And they helped him get a driver's license. And now drives around a CSS licensed vehicle, when he probably should've been arrested, Everything I've stated here is true and can verified, There are many more atrocities committed by these people and they don't follow up on grievances turned in, I could go on and on and I'm fairly certain if anyone with the means to investigate CSS they will find evidence of fraud and much much more, I've turned papers to CSS head of staff filed grievances with signatures from dozens of residents from my camp and other camps stating that they have been giving unkind or unfair treatment from Gabe and she mocked me and made some smart remark comment that I was soliciting signatures when infact I was trying to provide proof that what Im claiming is fact and not just an isolated incident of ONE person, If anyone wants to know more?
