Community Resources, Inc., is a terrific organization. Mostly I've been involved in the family nights (pizza with a family-based educational activity) and science fairs at Denver Public Schools. The last event I attended was a Fall Festival where kids wore their Halloween costumes, ate pizza, participated in zumba classes, played "book walk" (where they won a book of their choice), etc. It was a fabulous activity and the families were laughing and talking with each other and having a great time as a community. This organization has amazing activities for schools.
With a small staff and a lot of moxie, Community Resources, Inc. has been connecting local volunteers with Denver Public Schools principals, teachers, and students for more than 40 years. CRI is a phenomenal organization that impacts the lives of children with every family night, mentorship, classroom presentation, and special event it makes possible!
