Results: *We served over 300 seniors (age 62+) and over 90% of all service calls were for free transportation to medical appointments, the grocery store, hot meal sites, and food distribution centers.
*Last year, volunteers made over 3,600 trips, drove roughly 36,000 miles, and volunteered over 3,200 hours.
*We recruited 45 new adult volunteers bringing our volunteer base to 75.
*We launched an Intergenerational Project, Break the Barrier, with only 3 high school students, but that number quickly grew to 48 and it is still growing.
*We expanded our Volunteer Program throughout the Santa Maria and Lompoc Valley.
*We grew our service area to include Santa Ynez and Los Alamos Valley.

Programs: Community partners in caring's (cpc) mission is to provide seniors with volunteer services allowing them to continue living independently while maintaining quality of life. Cpc links seniors with services aimed at helping them stay in their homes for as long as safely possible. Volunteers provide such services as door through door personal transportation to medical appointments or shopping, friendly visits, minor home repairs, yard work, and telephone reassurance calls. The volunteer drivers drove 57,281 miles last year helping 396 unduplicated clients on the central coast of california access health care and many other needed services for this fastest growing sector of the population. Volunteers helped those clients 4,586 times throughout the year donating 4,191 volunteer hours.
