Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: Our mission is to minister to the emotional, physical, spiritual and social needs of people living in Houston who are homeless, disadvantaged or in transition.
Programs: Community of the Streets Outreach's programs focuses on the long-term social, economical and healthy well-being of Houston's indigent and homeless population.Community-to-Work project focuses on reintegrating homeless individuals into the work force through extensive communal collaborations.Caritas Health Care Clinic provides primary care, vision screenings, women and children's health services and referrals for mental health and substance abuse treatment.Direct Assistance Program provides assistance with obtaining official identification documents in order to access other available social services that require proper identification. This program also provides case management for transportation, psychological counseling and substance abuse; as well as provides clothing, food, and hygiene kits.
