For nearly 2 years this 35 year old hidden gem has become a n unexpected resource been often overlooked by the community and surrounding region it serves. Although K-Gem Studios is a community broadcast center, they also provide hands-on experience for volunteers wishing to learn new skills within the industry. It's uncommon and rare to have access to expert personnel and expensive equipment for the public to use in a broadcast studio. Before attending this facility as a volunteer, I was confident enough to seek free lance work and build my portfolio.
I encourage all that are interested in film and photography to come and take advantage of the great personnel who are willing to help those who help them selves and want to achieve real-world skills. This is a true testament of "you get what you put in and more".
