My daughter Anna nas lived with CLA for the past 25 years. In that time she has had a full rich life surrounded by friends she loves and a stable, professional staff that fully understands her capabilities and needs. My wife and I are grateful to CLA for all they have done insure that Anna is, as much as possible, a participant in her larger community.

Community Living Alternatives (CLA) sets the standard for integrating developmentally disabled adults into a community where they can enjoy a life with dignity, companionship and purpose. CLA's devoted staff have improved the lives of its patrons and the neighbors fortunate enough to be a part of their community.

My brother, now 61, has been a client of CLA for many, many years. Our family has been pleased with the dedicated and caring staff. So much so that when faced with finding a group home for my daughter, CLA immediately came to mind. I have also been a Board Member for the past few years and can say that CLA is a solid organization with the best interests of the population we serve at heart. Many staff have been there for years and have a great deal of expertise and understanding to offer. The direct care staff are phenomenal.

Over ten years ago our son started his life with CLA. His experience and ours, as parents, has been wonderful. Great leadership and caring, creative, kind support staff. Many thanks to CLA for all they do!!

I have been a volunteer with CLA for 30 plus years. CLA was an "early adopter" provider of community homes for the intellectually challenged in our area. Founded on the principle that a "home" means never more than 4 people to a house, we have grown steadily, and now own, rather than lease, all of our houses. This house ownership model, together with our fabulous and dedicated service providers has given all of our residents, a loving and stable home environment for many, many years. CLA is truly a leader in our field in the North Virginia area, and I am proud to have had the privilege of supporting them for so long.
