Mission: To improve, expand and provide housing and related services to Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta, Colusa, Yuba and Sutter counties and other areas of northeastern california. Assisting low-income, rural, disadvantaged, and senior citizens and other persons who lack income, financial resources or the knowledge to improve or provide adequately for their housing. To promote safe, healthy, sustainable, affordable housing, community facilities and services while improving the quality of life for our community.
Results: Since 1973, CHIP has developed more than 2600 affordable housing units in our service area.

Programs: Develop, own, and manage affordable rental housing for low-income households, including families, farm-workers, senior citizens and single individuals. Provide specialized services to low-income tenants to improve their quality of life.
to provide all services necessary to facilitate the construction of single family homes by groups of low-income families using the mutual self-help method. Families will work cooperatively and provide a significant portion of the labor towards the construction of the house they will own and live in upon completion of construction.
In need of services. I am being terminated from home if 20 yrs due to default on my reverse mortgage need some help in re establishing some affordable housing
The importance of the services and facilities that CHIP provides within the north state cannot be overstated. CHIP focuses on serving low/moderate-income, seniors, and others who lack financial resources by providing affordable housing throughout the north state. I have been an associate board member for a couple of years and am honored to assist this organization in achieving their mission. I grew up in affordable housing and know the importance and security of having a place to call home. I am now proud to give back by working through this amazing organization.
