Mission: Our mission is to assist hospice patients and their families during the difficulties of terminal illness by making financial grants for qualified needs. We help patients live more comfortably, access quality care, strengthening the involvement of loved ones, and helping the public better understand the role of hospice care. We recognize and thank volunteers for their many hours of unselfish service. Qualified needs are services and products not covered by medicare, medicaid, or private insurance. We do not fund staff training or marketing programs. Grants are made in the areas of patient care, family support, volunteer enhancement, community education, and public education. Grants are provided without regard to age, race, color, gender, national origin, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.
Programs: The organization provided indigent care to approximately 500 hospice patients. Indigent care is defined as palliative care needed, but not provided by medicare, medicaid, or private insurance.
