I use to volunteer for the CFB and they reached out to all that came for help. Rudy and Regina Taylor struggled with the ups and downs of little or no donations. They never gave up. Their faith is strong because CFB continues to feed the people today. Like any organization they need donations so the work can continue. I love CFB not only what the do for others but their staff have shared that same spirit of helping and caring. They truly live and do the work that God wants us to be. Please donate to CFB so these doors can stay open to the community.

Community Food Bank is a beacon of hope for the whole North Texas Community! They assist families in providing them with fresh and nutritious produce, meat, and all sorts of meals. No government funding at all and they allow clients to come back every 14 days, just amazing the work this place does and the impact it has on families in our community.

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one." - Mother Teresa. The Community Food Bank has a rich history full of blessings. They started small many years ago and through the help of the community and organizations, they have gone from feeding a few to hundreds a day! It is not a government funded organization. Donations come in one door and right out the front door. The volunteers come back regularly because they are treated with respect and dignity. That is the mission of Community Food Bank for all who work, volunteer or are served as a client. These are the reasons I started volunteering along with my husband. They knew me by name, and I felt appreciated each time. I've been volunteering for 7 years now and now serve on the Board of Directors. They bless me so I can in turn be a blessing to others.

I enjoy volunteering at the Galvez location everyone is welcoming and it has a great atmosphere. I have the pleasure of working with Donna she is professional, knowledgeable and always has a great attitude. You can tell Donna enjoys her job. The first day I worked with Donna, she explained on what and how to do the job. Donna is open to questions and is very patient. I am glad there is a places like this that helps the community. I have been working at the Community Food Bank for the past 6 months. I have learned more of the value of hard work by personal effort and the diligence of other workers and supervisors. I've practiced endurance in being on my feet for several hours, moving and shifting supply boxes, and cleaning pallet spaces thoroughly. I've had the opportunity to do one on one and small group training with workers. I've enjoyed meeting people of various ages, ethnic groups and work backgrounds.
I appreciate the generosity and concern for people that is expressed at the food bank by the administrators and the employees. Multitudes of clients are provided with ample food boxes every week. Other needs of theirs are also addressed with household cleaning items and supplies. Clients are given personal attention and referrals to other community resources as needed.

The Community Food Bank, its staff and volunteers are AMAZING. The impact that they have in our community is far beyond comprehension. Not only are they meeting the needs of their clients directly, they also share their surplus with other local non-profits in need. What a wonderful outreach, continued prayers for their organization and for the lives that they are touching!

As a volunteer at Community Food Bank we fill boxes of food with meats, bread, fresh produce, cereal and sweets every day to those in the food line. When I see someone handicapped we let them pull around back to get there box of food without standing in line. We will help whoever we can with whatever we had, food, clothing, pet food. I have been a volunteer here since 2012 so we must being doing good work. W assist everyone that comes here with no zip code restrictions. We have a outstanding turkey box for the Thanksgiving Holiday, including turkey and all the trimmings. It is a good place to volunteer and I enjoy being here.

The staff and volunteers of Community Food Bank are the most genuine, kind, and caring persons of any charity I've ever worked with. They are problem solvers and share freely of anything they have to meet the needs of their recipients. They are innovative, proactive, and perform due diligence in all aspects of their business model. They seamlessly fill a real need in our community and will not turn away anyone in need. CFB is truly an impressive nonprofit organization.

I love Community Food Bank! I enjoy volunteering and helping them solve problems while they solve even bigger problems for our community. What makes them special is their ability to show up every single day making sure not only the people they serve have what they need but also the people working with them. True Gems of Fort Worth. Hats off to the staff.

I've had the privilege as a donor to witness the work conducted by the staff at the Community Food Bank. They work so diligently to serve, feed and cloth families, provide encouragement and give other means of sustaining life and substance to those who are in need. I do not have a photo to upload but I do hope my testimony is a witness of their goodness, kindness, and overall outreach to help the communities of North Texas.

Visited the office again where free shelf items for the public are given however the same lady said I couldn't have anything yet a member of the community behind me she allowed to get bag of items. Me and the community member walked up together. No explanation given as to why she wouldn't allow me to have any of the free items donated to them from organizations who they're telling they're giving away to our community.

Replies aren't the truth from previous manager comments. I visited yesterday and a rude lady made comment in front of me telling another employee that - she's the one who wrote bad review on us!!! Wow, yet the manager claims to care and want to give hope to our community. This place has a HUGE problem treating community with much dignity. I've encountered regular poor attitudes from this business includes staff volunteers and managers. They're not thriving as other community organizations so maybe can listen to community more.

Horrible attempted volunteer experience. While going through tour with volunteer coordinator I was firmly reprimanded regards to sharing ideas (as in thoughts) for helping this pantry. Spoke about the ideas verbally and was asked to put them in writing. Strangely the reprimand came during a tour for becoming a helper there. Realized my services could be better utilized with other pantries and dismissed myself. Super unfortunate because our community is underserved with these very type situations. Additionally the poor attitudes our community receives from these organization staff/volunteers are learned from manager style level.

I remember her and I agree, it was a “Horrible attempted volunteer experience”. I spoke with her over an hour on the phone. Later Rev. Karen Harris, Executive Coordinator met with her and her friend for a half an hour and scheduled a tour. We gave her 2 bags of apples, 2 bags of oranges, 2 cases of water for seniors she said she helps. At the start of the tour, I expressed concerns I had about her volunteering and her attitude confirmed she was not be a good fit. I offered to give her food boxes for the seniors she said she helps, which she refused in a huff. Our food boxes consist of nonperishable food items along with fresh and frozen meats, produce, dairy and desserts. Still refusing the food boxes, she went outside where we put surplus items called “Free 4 All” and asked my staff if we were going to put some out. We welcome volunteers with a good attitude, desiring to actually help others!

Treated poorly by volunteers. Talked with managers regards only to discover they don't care as well. Seemingly they dictate how they treat their staff and it's a reflection of how the staff treat our community. Super sad to witness especially with the HOPE message they want to portray. Super sad to see the true potential this organization could have be greatly limited. I was able to identify some areas that may benefit from a community client standpoint. Once ideas were discussed, I was asked to submit in writing. Once submitted in writing and invited to take tour of building to potentially become a volunteer there was a very strange and unpleasant encounter with manager plus volunteer coordinator! Seemed the manager was upset over mere suggestions from a community client standpoint and essentially said my volunteer services wouldn't work there. I knew at that moment she was correct and simply dismissed myself. I've worked long and dedicated in our community and work well with others especially on development. Diverse groups is what typically works vs any demeaning or belittling. Ideas are simply that. If they work use them and if not then don't but to demean people for wanting to help is a lost cause unfortunately. My sweat equity would be best utilized elsewhere. Snoop Dog said we're our own worst enemies. It's becoming apparent every day and looking devastatingly true.

This is the same lady from above. Before COVID-19 Community Food Bank averaged 50-60 volunteers a day Monday – Thursday. During COVID-19 we only average 30 Volunteer a day. We are committed to treating our clients, volunteers, and each other with dignity and respect. We are able to live up to our motto “Feeding Families, Feeding Hope” because of our wonderful core of caring volunteers. The lady was correct when she dismissed herself. She is not the type of volunteer we need. Sadly, she chose not to take nutritious food boxes to the seniors she said she helps.

Community Food Bank has really been a blessing to the Fort Worth area since the move on Galvez. I have been involved in every aspect of the Food Bank. I have been a prior employee to assist them in initial setup; I have been a recipient of food during hard times due to the economy; and I have been a faithful volunteer to give back to our community.
Community Food Bank is truly known for assisting families of all areas of Texas. They do not turn any families around, regardless of where you live, culture, race, or origin. They are truly humble people who believe in their mission to feed those that are hungry.
I am grateful to have come in contact with the leaders of the food bank because they have helped my family, my church family, and many of my students. I am excited to be a part of this mark in history. They deserve the accolades and recognition from the community.

Community Food Bank is a great organization with a great group of people who provide quality food baskets to the people in the Tarrant County area. The staff greets you with warm hearts, they inspire those who are feeling down and out, they will share a word of blessings for those who want it, they share informative information to their clients of other resources to help them seek other needs, they have build a large network of volunteers who keep coming back to help and serve. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Taylor and Ms. Karen Harris are the greatest team of organizers I have had a pleasure of working with and being served in my time of need. The staff has created a great partnership with the community and I would like to see this organization we awarded for the many blessings they have shared with so many. God bless them and keep them open for their continuance service.

Community Food Bank does an outstanding job of serving both people and their pets. In that sense, they are a one stop opertion. They do not turn anyone down who is in need. In addition, they share food with other organizations that have food pantries - for example Salvation Bank, Mission Arlington and the Union Gospel in Fort Worth that serves the homeless. The staff at the bank treats everyone with dignity and have a caring attitude.

Inspired by an environment where the act of giving becomes the art of generosity translated into the nourishment of our community mind, body and soul found in the conduit of the giver and receiver when they become One and the viewer no longer can distinguish who is being served.

Its an amazing place to volunteer and wonderful the children volunteers.
