Mission: Community Cooks mobilizes caring volunteers to provide home-cooked food for vulnerable populations seeking assistance at human service agencies. By providing free home-cooked meals, our mission is to: • Build a bridge of caring between volunteers and neighbors in need, thus promoting service and community building as a means of improving the world; • Help partner agencies stretch limited resources so they can better focus on their core missions and services; • Send a message of caring, comfort and dignity to people at risk of slipping through the cracks of our social safety nets.
