I have been volunteering with Kidz Power Pacs for about 13 years now. I started as a child and still believe in their mission. They are such a welcoming group and every year I have the honor of watching them support community each and every month. Supporting and helping them each month has been one of the most rewarding things I have done as a young adult. I know how much each and every one who volunteers there works each day to make the mission continue. I love helping this organization!

I have been helping and supporting this nonprofit for 14 years. I was able to take my small children to help and they learned about volunteering and helping those who do not have as much as you. I so look forward to each of the get together as we really have a good time working and supporting each other. This is a great nonprofit that is helping so many children in our community.

Everyone involved with this nonprofit is in it for the kids and goes above and beyond to see that no child in the community goes hungry. It takes a lot to coordinate something of this scale. And it is impressive how many bags of food they procure and pack with the number of volunteers they get. Having been a volunteer I can tell you that it is a very welcoming environment. They welcome and accommodate for people of all ability levels. There is truly a job for everyone!

In 2015, I began a search to fill a void in my heart. I kept feeling the Lord guiding me to make a difference in the lives of others. I wanted my family to take part as well. Fast forward 8 years...My family and I have been involved with this wonderful ministry for over 7 years and what a blessing it has been to us! We serve on average 1025 children each school year. We provide kidz power pacs to these students every weekend, holiday breaks and during the summer! We are only able to do this through the generosity of our community businesses, individuals, churches and grants! It is a well-oiled machine as I have said and as I have heard others say! At packings, I love that we all come together to pray and ALL are welcome to volunteer! My heart is so full now! The void in my heart has been filled by having the opportunity to serve others through this top-notch ministry! ❤️

CCM’s impact is not just the food they provide to children who may not eat on the weekends or on breaks without them, but the people behind all that they do. CCM is 100% volunteer and is 100% driven by love. The folks who keep it going are true servants and always go the extra mile to serve everyone they can. If CCM ceased to exist, there would be a huge void in our community.

This is an excellent and powerful nonprofit organization. My church and I have been involved with CCM for several years now and we have seen first hand the positive impact it has had on our own lives and our community. Many children would not eat on weekends and holidays if it weren't for this organization. Many children are starving and scared and lonely and without hope and CCM helps with all of those problems.

Hi I became aware of CCM through my daughter (bmdue) and her family. They live in West Virginia and have been working with CCM for several years. She would always tell us stories about this incredible service and the people associated with it. My husband and I have experianced what they call "the packing" first hand on occasions when we have gone to visit. The work that these people do is incredible. From the ordering, to the food pick-up, to delivery to the site ,to the set up of food on the tables, and to the packing of the bags, then finally the storing in boxes and then delivery. Every thing is so well organized and everyone that we have met there seems so willing to help. They go from seniors to children and they all work equally hard. At the last packing, they had prepared 4,600 bags of food and some "weekend bags " (not sure how many of those". I know that in the fall they try to help with back to school supplies also. This is a wonderful ministry and it is all volunteers that carry out this mission. I know that they have been trying to get a delivery truck that has a lift bed that they can load the food on and that lowers to the ground to make food pick up a little easier. The food comes on pallets and is very heavy. A lot of times it is the women who have to pick up the food. They have been trying to win a truck from some organization that gives one away every year. CCM always makes it as a finalist, but for some reason, never gets picked. Anyway, for anyone reading this, this is truly a God ordained ministry and the people that are associated with it have my utmost respect and admiration. If I were ever to win a large prize from the lottery, I would buy them the truck that they need and pay the rent on the building that they use to store and pack the food. Anyway, for Diana, Michelle, Beck and all the rest of you from CCM, may God bless you all for all that you do for these children.

I have served with this ministry for approximately 13 years. Year after year my heart is overwhelmed at what this ministry accomplishes! Over approximately 1,000 food insufficient children are provided weekend, break, and summer food! Every year CCM also holds a Christmas party for the children and their families. This is a time where they can forget their worries and enjoy a warm family meal, games, pick some gifts, and leave with hygiene and pantry items for the family. Every year this group works alongside the community to hold a free community day that provides, family entertainment, hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, a petting zoo, inflatables, music, and access to various tents that are resources for hardships and difficulties. Each tent has a give away for the families. CCM blesses the community by also inviting volunteers to come out, pack, and learn more about food insecurities. CCM encourages children to come out and serve and learn about how a peer may be struggling. It is about feeding tummies, but also feeding souls, and thinking of others. I never leave a packing without making a new friend nor do I ever leave not being humbled and wanting to strive to ever care for our community. It’s an honor to serve here and witness a community coming together to bless those are in a season of struggle.

I have been with this ministry for 10 years. Thru this time, in every trial and every complication...I have witnessed this group come together no matter the odds, and do whatever it takes, to get food to the children of this community that need it. I have first hand met with some of the parents during summer distribution and heard their stories and felt their pain as well as their gratitude. One mother even sent a before and after picture of her refrigerator. It was a sobering picture to see how empty it was, it was even more sobering to see that she was in her work uniform when she picked up the food. The after photo of her freezer stuffed and fridge looking healthy summed up the importance of what we do. This isn’t a one man team...this is a living breathing ever evolving group of people from our local community coming together to make sure that the little ones don’t have empty bellies. Many volunteers that attend regularly have known hunger or fear a time or two. They relate and are empathetic which drives them a little harder to reach a little further. Community Combined Ministries is not only about feeding people, it’s about waking people up and teaching them to care for their neighbors and giving hope when things seem bleak. It is an honor to serve alongside these people who can and do sacrifice for the sake of others.

A "ministry with heart", not a program. It's a lovely thing to witness God moving in our community and so many serving to be His hands and feet to our schools, our kids and their families. For 15 yrs, Kidz Power Pacs has been Christ lead and focused on empowering Berkeley & Jefferson Counties, WV with His love. Even through the COVID crisis, He was moving and providing food for thousands of his precious kids. I am honored to serve, grow and love this special group. Christ first.

It's so nice to volunteer with such a loving ministry. I enjoy packings and helping on many levels, big and small. It feels good to be a part of something bigger than ourselves for the Lord being His hands and feet. CCM reaches out with love and compassion and empowers our community on a lot of levels. As it continues to grow, I will grow with it. I am a better person because of CCM and I know others are too.

I have been helping Community Combined Ministries in West Virginia for a few years now. I was looking for a local program that provided kids with food over the weekends to get involved with. I figured I would just show up and pack a few bags now and then and feel good about helping out. I found an organization so committed and so caring and compassionate it has really moved me and makes me feel there is still good in the world. Over 2 West Va counties this organization serves over 1000 kids across 44 schools. They provide meals for school kids when school is out and there is no access to school meals. This includes every weekend, every school break - Spring, Summer, Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are passionate that no child should go to bed hungry. They also go beyond food and reach out to the community. They provide toothpaste and tooth brushes, give free haircut certificates out, host a summer community day in the park where all are welcome free of charge for hot dogs, games and fun as well as a winter party for all their participants with fun games and gifts. The volunteers who run this organization have regular jobs, families and other worries like bills and personal health concerns but they never fail to show up for their community. They were hit hard during covid, the need in their community greatly increased as did food prices and lack of availability of some staple foods. They went from providing meals for breaks and weekends to providing meals everyday during lockdown. They never thought about giving up, instead finding ways to overcome these obstacles and keep providing meals to kids despite the challenges and added stress to their daily lives. These people move me everyday in how much they care and how much taking care of others matters to them. I’m grateful they are in our community, they are doing local work that impacts so many here everyday.

Community Combined Ministries provides children in need with weekend, school break, and summer time food that they can open and safely prepare for themselves. Over a thousand children during the school year benefit from their support. I worked in a school that they served. In my experience, Community Combined Ministries is truly a top rated charity.

CCM is a one-of-a-kind ministry that encompasses two counties in West Virginia — Berkeley & Jefferson Counties, feeding on average 1025+ children each week in 42 schools. It's mind blowing. The area is in great need of a ministry that serves side-by-side together as a team, and these guys go over, above and beyond to ensure our local children are fed, prayed over and loved. There is hope. There are many layers to this ministry and multiple ways to serve and get involved. It's great to see "no walls" — as many come together for one common goal. I can't say enough good things about them and I am honored to be a part of it all.

Community Combined Ministries is truly amazing. I have volunteered with this ministry for many years and I love seeing God move in all areas — including seeing the hundreds of volunteers that serve with CCM monthly grow and grow. Everyone has the warmest hearts. There is always a special feeling in the air when we let God lead. Under the CCM umbrella is Kidz Power Pacs. This weekend feeding ministry fills in the gap for many in need. KPP feeds on average 900+ kids weekly in 39 schools in Berkeley & Jefferson Counties, WV. I can't wait to see what is to come. 11 years and counting. What will be next? :)

Wonderful organization. They have kept to their mission to feed local children. It is the first time I have seen a large group of local churches work side by side toward a common goal. The community is truly blessed to have this organization. They provide femood for 900+ children each weekend and all school breaks. This volunteer group works together to complete the mission the Lord put upon their leader's heart.

I have been on the board for CCM for approximately 2 years. Being in this position has allowed me to see the “behind the scenes” to this ministry and the heart and soul that goes into each important detail. The goal of this ministry is to gather the community together to meet a specific need...to feed the children. CCM reaches and exceeds this goal on a monthly basis. What an awesome opportunity we (the community) get, to bring a smile to a child’s face, help them to know someone cares about them, and to fill their tummies!

I love serving with CCM! It has brought our community so much closer together with the same goal to feed children who do not have enough food over the weekends and holiday breaks! I am so grateful for the example that Diana the leader has set to selflessly serve others. CCM feeds over 800 children in our area ultimately with the goal to feed more than just their physical hunger! I love serving there and hope that you all will consider this ministry as deserving as I do! They are changing lives and offering hope! Over 30 organizations work together to make this a reality!

Great vision to help children but poorly executed. Poorly ran by a person constantly complaining. Nothing is ever good enough and non stop complaining about what they don’t have instead of praising for what they do have. I hope and pray someone else steps in and brings this ministry to the next level and really be an outreach.

This nonprofit is awesome they help fill the gap in many homes to insure families a bonus of food. The kids love it and it’s all kid friendly foods the kids can make on there own or with help. 11 years ago our Lord laid this ministry on my wife heart and it has been amazing to watch it grow over the years. Our children love to help pick up the food on Fridays and look forward to packing weekends. They know they are helping other children and they get to hang out with all their new friends they have made over the years. Sometimes I have to work on packing mornings but I come towards the end to help load the boxes. Our Lord always brings enough volunteers to help and it doesn't take long to get thousands of food bags packed. Our family can't thank the schools and communities enough for believing in the vision and helping feed all these hungry children each and every week. Thank you all and keep these children covered in your prayers!

I have volunteered with this ministry for 8 or 9 years, and have watched it grow from feeding around 100 children a month to 900 children a month. Many don’t realize how important this ministry is. The children look forward to the food in their backpacks every week because they know it’s the only food they will have for the weekend. I remember one story about a boy who said the only food he had over a weekend was a pop tart until he started getting food from this ministry.

It is truly a blessing to work with Community Combined Ministries. The packings run like a finely oiled machine with sometimes over 200 volunteers working to get the job done. It gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling to know you’ve helped someone and to know a child won’t go hungry because you helped to do something about it.

God gave the vision, his direction has been followed to the letter, and he just keeps helping us be his hands and feet.

I first met the creator of Community Combined Ministries, Diana Wall, back in 2010 during an event for needy children of our county. School supplies, clothing, shoes, and food were given out freely. Later I discovered she had a feeding ministry for school children.

In this great nation of ours, it was hard for me to believe that we had so many children who were not being fed at home on the weekends. When I began to volunteer with this ministry and heard some of the sad stories about the children, my heart was saddened. Every year the number of children that are fed by CCM/Kidz Power Pacs continues to increase. I've seen the numbers grow from around 400 to nearly a 1,000 in the last seven years. The school teachers have seen what a difference it makes in the children as far as their alertness and ability to learn. How can you learn or pay attention when you're hungry? I remember the story of one child who had nothing to eat over the weekend but a pop tart. How nourishing is that?

Food that can easily be prepared by children is packed into the participating child's backpack by school staff every week. CCM does not keep tabs on the identification of the students. They are selected by the schools teachers who can tell when a child's learning experience is hampered by hunger.

God gave Diana a vision for this ministry and she has done everything He has asked her to do. Every packing is organized and runs like clockwork. It's amazing to see how over 100 volunteers of all ages come together for one purpose.

I have been blessed to help with this ministry and anyone who has come to a packing will tell you the same thing.

I am a volunteer with this program, but it has blessed me more than I could ever bless those who need assistance its ministries. The leaders have dedicated their lives to helping those in need, even when their own lives have been difficult. While feeding children is a focus, there is a genuine desire by those involved to improve overall well-being and provide a dose of happiness.

Myself, and my two girls have been volunteering with CCM/KPP for 7 years now. In the last two years my 3-1/2 year old grandson has joined in with the volunteering! This organization has BLESSED us as well as our helping hands have BLESSED others! We also are a part of the King Foods Ministry, which has been a real treat each month for us! We have ordered every box once, and we hope to keep ordering throughout this ministry. The main experience we have encountered is the Love, kindness, and compassion that lies within each individual heart that volunteers, therefore UNITING us ALL as God's big family! We are BLESSED to share with everyone in this ministry, and my girls, my grandson, and myself will continue to give back to this community and to the ministry as long as we can!

My very first experience with Community Combined Ministries (CCM) was Community Day in the Park a few years ago. I was overwhelmed with all of the free food and resources being given to the community by this ministry. I remember when my family started volunteering with CCM at Eagle School Intermediate; I was amazed there were over a hundred volunteers helping out. Before we began, everyone made a large circle, joined hands and prayed over the food that was going to be distributed to the children in need. The worship band played and the Lord's presence filled the room! I was amazed by the amount of food in one room, thinking it must have costed thousands of dollars, and learned this would feed nearly a thousand children every weekend and during holiday breaks right here in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties! Wow! Everyone, young and old, did a little, but made a BIG difference as they worked together! The bags were packed, counted and would soon be delivered to the children's schools. It was not long before I realized I wanted to be a part of this wonderful ministry so I became a board member. I feel blessed to work alongside such a dedicated team of individuals.
The President and founder of CCM, Diana Wall, was given the vision of CCM by God in 2007. I was surprised to learn that Diana had to stop working as the ministry started growing and more time was needed to devote to it. Diana sacrificially gives of her time, talents and treasures to this awesome ministry and she is a fearless leader! CCM is celebrating 10 years in ministry! To God be the honor and glory! I pray God will continue to bless this special ministry and you will consider joining our CCM family!
