Mission: To provide, through a volunteer network, support and assistance to help the elderly, disabled and homebound maintain independence in the community and their home environment.
Target demographics: Elderly, disabled, temporarily or chronichally ill.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year, our volunteers drove our clients 157,559 miles to medical appointments and gave 42,938 hours of their time. Their donation of time, valued by the Independent Sector at $27.20 per hour, is the equivalent of $1,167,914. Your donation allows us to continue to serve our community members at no cost. In addition to our volunteer services, we offer a program we call The Loaner’s Closet. Wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bath chairs and other assorted pieces of durable medical equipment are available to any and all community members at no charge. We have loaned over 3200 pieces of equipment in the last 12 months FREE of charge!

Programs: Serves the elderly, disabled and chronically or temporarily ill residents of a seven town area through a volunteer network. Services are free and include transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, friendly visiting, light chores, telephone reassurance and respite.
