Mission: -the community assistance center is a private nonprofit organization which assists offenders, ex-offender's offender's families, and youth involved with criminal justice system to assume full and productive membership in the community. The community assistance center works for the improvement of the criminal justice system through public information and education and the development of programs tailored to the needs of the people of hawaii. It is our goal to have a safer community .
Programs: The mission of sotp is community safety. The halawa portion of the sotp has an impressive success record. 98% of those inmates who sucessfully completed the program have not been convicted of a new sexual crime. We accomplish this mission by providing our clients with strong insight into the origins of their behavior, empathy, and the insights and skills necessary to not re-offend. Sotp provided services to 210 clients in all programs.
jamp program works to significantly reduce the violent offences of our clients and in turn to make a positive difference in the quality of life for our clients and those who coexist with them jamp provided services to 20 juveniles in 2017.
cap program provides offenders and ex-offenders with counseling on job seeking and interviewing skills. The program also provides financial aid for state identification, clothing, referrals for food, and bus pass for job search purposes. Cap provided services to 65 adults.
