I have volunteered with CAPSonoma for 6 years. The staff are dedicated; the management is committed to excellence and the impact addressing the root causes of poverty in our community is significant. CAP looks to change the lives of the poor beyond crisis services. While giving emergency shelter and food addresses immediate needs, CAP focuses on lifting people out of poverty. They combine direct services, advocacy on public policy, and partnership with community-wide efforts to effect change.
I thoroughly endorse this agency's mission and invite anyone to support it with their time and contributions.

Mission: The purpose of Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County (Community Action) is to partner with low-income families and individuals to help them achieve economic and social stability; to build community, and to advocate for social and economic justice.
