I just love common sense for animals. Dr Blease is a wonderful person. I have adopted 3 pets from here. My stray cat I brought in the house ended up having an autoimmune disease and needs a shot every three weeks. Dr Blease only charges me for the shot and not an office visit because he want me to beable to afford it and bring him in. thank you common sense for animals and Dr. Blease

We had adopted a puppy from Common Sense about 10 years ago. It was a great experience and she was a wonderful dog who unfortunately had to be put down at 5 years old due to illness. Dr. Blease's office was wonderful during that time and even sent a condolence card afterwards. We have had some experiences since then that I wasn't too satisfied with at the time, but I realize that they are moving a lot of animals through there with very little resources. Sometimes the "perfect" world scenario just can't be played out. They do the best they can with what they have. I do commend their dedication. It certainly will not keep me away when it's time for another pet. That will be the place we go!

I love this shelter, I have adopted 3 pets from them in the past 10 years. Each one s blessing in my life. The staff is always friendly, and helpful. They put in so much of there time. And truly love each and every animal that passes through. I suggest you check it out, if you are looking for a new family member. And remember, older pets need love too. So think of that with an open mind when you go there to search for the new love of your life. I always tell people, about my pets... I didn't pick them, I was lucky enough that they chose me!! God bless comon sense for animals!!! Thank you for my pressious babies!!

We have adopted many cats through CSA for over 14 yrs, and 2 dogs over the last 8 yrs. We have our precious pup Sammy from there and he is a result of his Mama being safely transported from NC up to CSA to save her and her puppies! We foster cats and kittens for them and they are always ready to help out however we need. We've made new friends through them, my daughter has learned how to be more responsible and all about volunteerism. We even have had the most unusual, but extremely helpful, capture of a dangerous snake off of our property by one of the good guys from CSA! We are so glad CSA is there and does what it does so well!

This is a wonderful, dedicated shelter. They put the animals needs above their own needs. I personally have adopted dogs from this shelter (currently have 2). I have been a supporter of this shelter for 16 years and will continue to adopt from Common Sense for Animals. The staff is a great in helping you choose the right pet for your home. ALL the staff is WONDERFUL and I just love what they do.

I have been volunteering for CSA for about 4 1/2 years now, and have adopted 6 dogs from them over the years as well. My son, my daughter's boyfriend, and my other daughter's boyfriend have also adopted from CSA. They do a wonderful job placing the right dog/puppy with the right person. The knowledgeable employees and volunteers all make the animals' comfort and happiness a priority while under their care. They have saved countless lives through their southern rescue program, transporting dogs and puppies in need from the southern states to New Jersey, where they can be adopted into loving homes instead of being put to sleep in overcrowded shelters. Advice is freely given to anyone encountering a problem or situation with their adopted animal at any time during the animal's life. Overall a very compassionate animal shelter and a wonderful place for a dog, cat, or other animal to stay while looking for their forever home!

I was beyond upset about my son's dog, Roxy. I couldn't have her in my home anymore..she was attacking my older dog and when she went after my husband when I was sick… I knew that I needed to find a place that wouldn't "put her down" ~ I am so blessed to have found Common Sense for Animals. The minute I called them, I had a volunteer explain their procedures and I drove 2 hours to bring her to them. I could hardly speak I was so upset. Roxy passed their test, and they took her for me. I called every day for weeks to check up on her. The people there were so understanding and sympathetic, i couldn't have asked for a better situation. She is now placed with a person who understands and can deal with her issues.
I have continued to correspond with them, and even had pictures sent to me so that my son could see she was well and happy. Love this group. My only wish was that they were closer… I would most certainly volunteer...

I have been assisting Common Sense for Animals for 10 years. They are a wonderful organization, staffed with dedicated, energetic people and led by a charismatic, passionate animal lover. Not only have they saved thousands of animals lives through their programs, but also brought an infinite amount of happiness to those people whose lives the animals touched.
