CFACT is an excellent organization that provides a vital public service by educating people about environmental issues. It handles donor's money with exceptional care: the officers' salaries, office space, and all the other overhead expenses are a fraction of other similar organizations'. Not only does CFACT provide educational material to the general public, it also provides ongoing humanitarian and development assistance to the poor overseas and in Central America. I personally traveled with CFACT to Valle Verde, Mexico--a very poor village--to give the school there laptops for the children to use and solar panels to power them. It was exciting to volunteer with a non-profit organization that actually makes a difference in peoples' lives, which is why I highly recommend it to others.

CFACT is a very sound user of donor funds. It operates on low overhead and puts it the bulk of its funds directly into programming. They have developed a unique niche understanding about the interrelationship between the marketplace and the environment. Their output is credible, well thought out and highly useful to the public.

This organization exists primarily to spread anti-scientific propaganda to influence legislation on climate change. It should therefore not have tax-exempt status.

Tax exempt status must not be dependent on viewpoint or the marketplace for ideas will be stifled.
