Comfort Crew for Military Kids was a very important part of my re-integration process with my son. He received one of the kits when I returned home and we were able to utilizes the resources and activities in the kit to better understand the changes that we were overcoming. This allowed us to engage in better dialogue, grow together, and understand each other's needs again. I am very grateful for this organization and recommend it to all service members with children.
My experience with Comfort Crew for Military Kids has been AMAZING!. We discovered this organization by chance during my husband's last deployment and honestly it was a Godsend.
Our son was 10 when he left and it was harder on him than I imagined. I personally struggled to help him balance and regulate his emotions because I couldn't balance my own. Once we received our Comfort Crew Kit...everything just started to change. If it gave us the tools to start reconnecting as a family and process the deployment in such a healthier way!
Thank you Comfort Crew!
As a military child myself, the life-changing resources the Comfort Crew for Military Kids ensures comfort, strength and training to take on many hardships that face military families. I've had the honor to witness first-hand of the impact of trajectory of kids lives from all over the world through the support of their services and products. I would highly recommend any parent and child to take the time to see how to support and/or be supported from this incredible organization.
This is such a great cause for Austin kids. No military bases that close, which makes it even more needed! Military and families need our support! Especially those with both parents serving! Thank you Comfort Crew for all the great work you do.
Proud of the team because they always keep a positive attitude. They want to help the families in a time they need it the most and be there for them.
This non-profit is a small organization that really cares about military families. I love volunteering to help with all the great work they do. The kids need support like this!
Comfort Crew creates resources that help kids build strategies to overcome all kinds of transitions and challenges. I've helped pack these resources to send out many times. It's a great service project for groups and volunteers to get involved and help do something that makes a big difference.
CCMK is a nonprofit that does the most important thing a nonprofit can do: it helps solidify the family unit. While the resources they provide are designed to support the children of military families, I know that in fact their resources aid the entire family. Bravo, CCMK- what you do truly makes a positive difference in the lives of all you serve!
I’ve been a volunteer for Comfort Crew for many years now and have always had a positive experience. It’s inspiring to see how the tools (videos and journals) make an impact on military kids. Comfort Crew lets them know that they are valued and that we appreciate their sacrifice as well.
I have worked for the State of Texas in several capacities. I am still working toward the benefit of children all over the state. The Comfort Crew for Military kids is a phenomenal partner resource for population of children that is underserved. I am thrilled that they are still around and hope they find lots of support so they can continue to help kids that are experiencing a host of difficulties related to having a parent in the military.
As a former Military Brat, I can tell you how overjoyed I am that Comfort Crew for Military Kids exists. Many people forget that the children of our military folks did not choose this life, but they make sacrifices every day in support of their parents and our country. It is amazing to have an organization that recognizes that, celebrates that, and works hard to make things a little bit easier on these precious military children. These kits help our military kids process their feelings and support them as they experience tough situations - from deployment to reintegration, to grief and loss. What a blessing and a fabulous way to support our military members, by supporting their families.
Hi I'm Pat johnson
While I was living in Austin, Texas I looked forward to Friday mornings. Building kits, working with other volunteers and all of us having a great time for a very worthy cause, kids of our military families. Over the years I attended school presentations with a very dedicated staff of leaders. Each week was new and different, even had the honor to represent Comfort Crew at a banquet when everyone was on tour. I have been blessed many times over for the opportunity to be part of this very worthy cause while working with a truely dedicated staff.
Thank you for the opportunity and the great memories. Keep working with our leaders of tomorrow.
Thank You to TheComfortCrew.org for helping so many thousands of our military kids (including two of my Grand Children years ago while my son n law was on two of his Iraq Deployments). I have also had the Honor to collaborate with The Comfort Crew via our TalkingwithHeroes.com programs. Thank You Angela and Ronda and all The Comfort Crew Team!! Bob Calvert
The materials provided by Comfort Crew allow families to tackle the challenges of military life with sensitivity and inclusivity. Both the DVD and reading materials partner to comfort children during deployment and better understand the complexity of a family member's journey. I highly recommend the kits!
Far too often, children of our military warriors are the silent collateral damage. The Comfort Crew for Military Kids makes it their mission to take care of the most prized possessions of our heroes, their children. The resources provided have been proven successful time and time again. Most recently The Comfort Crew reached out to provide their Grief Kits to children who were affected by the tragedy in Virginia Beach, Va. These resources will help steady their world...which was so tragically rocked. Thank you Comfort Crew!
Comfort Crew for Military Kids is one of the most compelling non-profits I've ever had the pleasure of volunteering with. Serving the needs of the children of those who are serving our country is an incredible mission, one that can be felt at every event. The countless stories of young children who find strength in the kits and programs are humbling and encouraging. I'm so thankful Comfort Crew exists and am proud to help them in their mission.
I've been volunteering with The Comfort Crew for Military Kids for 5 years now! I've seen first hand how their mission is helping military kids through the difficult transitions they are going through. I'm glad I'm able to help this very small staff so they can continue to serve military kids worldwide!
Thank you Comfort Crew for all you do to support military affiliated children! The support provided through resources such as kits is a tremendous help with assisting students through transitions! Comfort Crew is amazing! We appreciate all you do!
It is always a pleasure to work as a volunteer for the Comfort Crew for Military Kids because they are very organized and the work they do for military families is so rewarding.
It is a privilege to volunteer with Comfort Crew and see first-hand the amazing work they do to support Military Children. Everyone associated with this incredible organization works tirelessly to make sure that Military Children have all the resources and support needed to cope with whatever situation they are dealing with. The staff members are passionate about their mission, dedicated and compassionate. They are truly making a difference in the lives of so many children.
I have had great pleasure of receiving one of these amazing deployment kits as well as the humbling opportunity of helping put together and give them out. I am currently an Ombudsman to a command who recently deployed and with the help of the Comfort Crew I was able to receive enough With You All The Way deployment kits to share with the families in our command. They never disappoint; the children in our command (to include my own) love everything about them, these kits are so helpful when it comes to the deployment of a loved one. I cant say it enough Comfort Crew For Military Kids is a blessing to our military families we are so lucky to have people like this to help ease the transitions that we face.
As an elementary school counselor that has worked with military children for many years and was a military brat, the Comfort Crew has made a major impact on my school and students. Trevor Romain did a presentation a couple of years ago and met with several of my students from our Military Brats Club personally. His compassion for military kids is amazing. The Comfort Crew embodies this compassion in their support for military families. The materials provided for the kids and parents is insightful and understanding in what families go through during deployments and reintegration. I have also volunteered with the Comfort Crew and have seen first hand how the organization works to assist our military kids no matter the branch of service, national guard or reserve unit their parent may be a part of.
I have spent several years working with non profits and I have to say that it is a joy to work with CCfMK. Everyone in the office is always excited to find new ways to spread the word about the organization and works tirelessly to do so. The work they do is essential to the well-being of often overlooked military children.

My family has worked with the Trevor Romain Foundation for several years, volunteering and as a military family in need to there services. They do an amazing job of helping Military child. They help military children all over the world learn how to cope with the stresses that everyday Military life can place on them at a young age and last there whole life as a Military child. My children know first hand of the stress military life can places on Military children. The Comfort Crew has given my military children the tools they have needed to servive deployments, military moves, cope with bulling as well as gain the confidence they needed to understand why they were feeling the way there were and how to express it in positive way.
