CJP is a great, responsive, innovative and caring organization. It is the nation's oldest federated charity but always more than willing to try something new. My family has benefited from programs created, or funded by CJP: My teen daughters have each participated in Telem, a teen Jewish learning and service project of the JCRC that gets funding from CJP, we have visited programs in Haifa Israel that are funded and run by CJP or JCRC, I have been on an Israel mission of CJP and they encouraged me to lead a UJC Family Mission, which my family enjoyed, I have used funds from the Kraft Passport to Israel program for my kids trips to Israel and so many more. I know that synagogues in the Greater Boston area are partners with CJP to enhance Jewish life on many levels. I don't think there is another federation that listens so closely and adapts to its community like CJP. I am glad it is in Boston!
