Columbus Relief is an amazing organization. They are a faith based group who work tirelessly with people recovering from addiction, who are homeless or just need help, prayer or encouragement . They feed them, house some, and provide household goods, hygeine products and other necessities to many. They truly live out their motto. Live the one in front of you.

I was first introduced to Columbus Relief in 2016 after a mission trip to Guatemala. This organization is led by amazing people, meeting peopke where they are. I have volunteered many times and loved serving along side each and every person.

My mom and step dad are the founders of this organization. When they first started I didn’t really want to be involved and didn’t know much about it. In 2018 I ran into some health issues that left me unable to work for about a year. During that time I hit a pretty low point mentally and my mom(Amy) begged me to just come help out. I was not too thrilled about the idea bc I just didn’t think it was “my thing” but I decided to do it anyway bc hey, not like I had anything else to do….anyway, to get to the point, I had no idea at that time that it would end up being one of the best things to happen to me and that I would fall in love with the organization and what they stood for. I have met some of the most amazing people through Columbus Relief. I have heard stories I never would have heard, seen and learned things I knew nothing about, and most of all, bonded with people I never thought I would. They honestly do have a way of bringing everyone together. In a time where the world has fallen on so much hate, they manage to overpower it with so much love. When at Columbus Relief, there are no differences. No color, gender, sexual orientation, lifestyle judgment, nothing. They just love everyone. I’ve always known my mom and Kevin were special people, but I never realized how special until seeing them with the community and seeing how many people they help. I went thinking I was going to help them because I had free time, but now, 4 years later, they’ve helped me in ways I didn’t even know I needed help. They helped me see the world in a whole new way and helped me find myself again. They inspired me to help the community in my own way by becoming an EMT and showed me how to give the best patient care possible by never judging a book by its cover. I could go on an on about them but I will just leave it with this….no matter who you are, where you come from, what you do, anything….if you want to be humbled in life and see something beautiful, this organizing truly is where you belong. Give it a try at least once. I guarantee it will be a wonderful experience you won’t regret

Columbus relief has given me the opportunity to use my love for giving and my sewing abilities to minister to my community. Because of Columbus Relief and their showing love on the streets. My ministry, The Red Barn project is able to provide needs for the people Columus Relief reaches. I am so proud to partner with them. Thanks to Columbus Relief my life is full of joy. May God bless and provide their needs always.

I really love the work this Columbus Relief does. These individuals are dedicated to providing meals to people that are residence of the land. They not only provide meals but offer support by being a friend. They make available other resources by connecting individuals to resources in the community. When you come to volunteer they make you feel welcome and it feels like family whether you are the recipient of services or you are serving. Over the years of watching Columbus Relief, they have been consistent in being a pillar in the community. Thank y’all for all y’all do!!

A friend told me about this organization bc I was struggling emotionally and they thought it would help and they were right!! These people are amazing and it was such a humbling experience. I am a lesbian woman and am always hesitant to volunteer due to past judgement. Let me just say, there was zero judgement from anyone there! They welcomed me with open arms and loved me like I was family. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to continue to volunteer! It was exactly what I needed and they have opened my eyes to a whole new world. What they are doing for the community and the way they love is just incredible! I can’t say thank you enough to them

My wife is the director of the red barn project, a sewing ministry, on the campus of CenterPoint Gahanna Church. My wife's passion has given her a sense purpose and a visible way to share the love of God with her community. I am happy to have a small part in this ministry whenever I am needed. Bobbi and I are blessed to overfull

I absolutely love this organization, the folks the run it, and the volunteers. I myself volunteered for over 6 years with this group and loved every day I was there. Their motto- Love Them Where They Are! That’s exactly what they do. It doesn’t matter what situation the person is in or how dirty their clothes may be, we loved them right where they were. Yes, we hugged on the people in need and love on them. They are people and need to feel they are loved . This happens by the group at Columbus Relief. We build relationships with the folks. We don’t just forget about them after helping them on a Saturday. It’s about a relationship so they can learn to trust again. We help them get off the streets, we have an area to help them get their SS, the people know that we genuinely care for them and want to help them. Columbus Relief has missed 1 Saturday in serving folks and that was due to their team having Covid. Nothing else has stopped them from serving those in need on a Saturday. This organization is my heart and the people their do too!

I came to Columbus Relief broken. They helped me with food, hygiene, fresh socks, a shower and find a safe place to stay.

That was five months ago… I now have A roof over my head, food, transportation for my necessities and a full time job working for the Lord. I have been blessed. Thanks be to God!

As a newly appointed Outreach Minister, I was looking for a faith-based homeless ministry for our church to partner with to serve the homeless in our community. We had previously partnered with an organization that didn't work out and left us very cautious about who we got involved.

After checking them out, meeting with the principles and joining them on a couple of their outreach events, it became clear that this was an organization we could work with as they grew their ministry / organization and we could reestablish our homeless ministry. Ramseys are fully committed the is the ministry that God has called them. They have gone all in; left their careers and committed to doing this right organizationally and putting their faith and trust in God to accomplish what they feel He is calling them to do. They have kept their focus on the spiritual needs as well as the physical needs of the people they minister.

Met this amazing organization back in June 2017 as a volunteer on what I thought would be a single outreach with maybe a few more days joining them.. The heart for those in need was so strong on the streets of Columbus by all the volunteers and staff it was contagious. They don't just say they love the people they live it daily and show it through their actions. This is love in action on the streets of Columbus. Oh. My life now is surrounded by this amazing organization that I too have become of.
