Mission: The columbus regional health foundation, inc. (the "foundation") is a public, non-for-profit foundation established to promote philanthropic support of columbus regional health and its not for profit affiliates. The mission of the columbus regional health foundation is to raise philanthropic funds to enhance the health and healing of patients served by columbus regional health. The foundation is administered by a president who reports to the ceo of columbus regional health and governed by a separate board of directors. The foundation board provides strategic direction for the foundation as well as the stewardship of funds raised through the foundation's annual, special and major gift programs.
Programs: The columbus regional health foundation solicits gifts and pledges for columbus regional health and its not for profit affiliates to support its facilities, staff education, technology and patient care programs; areas of focus include the children's hospital, women's services, the john b. Amos cancer center, the breast care center, midtown medical center and northside medical center.
development officers (major gifts, annual gifts and special events) are responsible for the general fundraising for the foundation including capital campaign gifts and pledges; the annual employee campaign; children's miracle network programs and campaigns, foundation-hosted special events. Of particular note, in 2016 the foundation completed a $15 million capital campaign with a total raised of $18. 3 to complete the renovation of the children's hospital and women's services. Children's miracle network sponsored fundraising efforts for the calendar year 2016 realized more than $915,000. And the two foundation-hosted special events, the celebrity classic and the breast cancer awareness luncheon raised (net) more than $200,000 combined for the john b. Amos cancer center and columbus regional health.
in 2010, the foundation launched a capital campaign for the children's hospital with a $15 million dollar goal for the renovation and expansion of the children's hospital. To date, the foundation has realized more than $10. 2 million in gifts and pledges toward its goal. The campaign committee is made up of volunteers who are actively seeking major gifts and pledges to support the campaign.
