Causes: Food, Food Banks & Pantries
Mission: Columbia pacific food bank is the regional food distribution center for columbia county, oregon and local food pantry for the community of saint helens.
Programs: The columbia pacific food bank administers innovative programs that respond to the immediate crisis of hunger and help individuals and families address chronic food insecurity through self-sufficiency and education. We distributed 1. 3 million pounds of food to 39 distribution points in 2016-2017. These included food pantries, senior centers, meal programs, domestic violence shelters, school programs and partnerships with various governmental agencies. We serve 1 in every 5 individuals in the country through our programs. Our volunteers donated 6,000 hours to our hunger relief efforts.
