Rating: 5

I have been supporting Colorado Youth At Risk (CYAR) for 6 years because I believe in their mission and have seen the results of the work they do with teenagers. I have met many youth who, with the help and training CYAR provides, have redirected their lives into what they always wanted it to be but never thought it could be. I have witnessed many times youth have the emotional or intellectual breakthrough they needed to make the first or the final step to the type of life they want to lead. This organization trains everyone involved with it, the youth, their mentors, their staff. I believe that providing financial support to CYAR is the best value I can get in terms of positive changes to the members of my community. I would like to see the organization get enough donations to enable them to take it's training state wide as the name implies.

I also enjoy a sizable benefit in state tax reduction now that CYAR is part of the Denver Enterprise Tax Zone credit. Donations over $250 get are eligible for a 25% tax credit.
