Mission: In response to the gospel, esm promotes self-sufficiency and restores dignity by providing food, medicine, housing, job placement, educational programs, and spiritual encouragement.
Programs: The pantry provides emergency food, street/travel food, holiday food baskets (thanksgiving and christmas) and commodities. For fiscal year 2016-2017, 29,574 services were provided.
direct services provides clothing, medications, local transportation with gas vouchers or bus tokens, personal hygiene items, medical co-pays and referrals, showers, legal referral and referrals to other agencies. For fiscal year 2016-2017, 29,412 services were provided.
wish house (women in safety and hope) was opened on april 17, 2017, and provides transitional living services for women who wish to make the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. For fiscal year 2016-2017, 990 nights of housing were provided.

This organization says it provides rental and utility assistance, but they have very restrictive rules and often, no funds. They pay two full-time staff members in the housing department, so why not use some of that money to help those who come in for assistance. I have stopped referring clients to them because of the treatment they receive from this agency.
