Mission: Colorado puppy rescue shall rescue puppies from shelters and independent rescues in areas of great need. We provide proper care and medical attention to all pets in our system. We shall adopt all pets into approved homes and families. Colorado puppy rescue shall be considered no kill according to accepted definition.
Programs: In 2017, colorado puppy rescue rescued and adopted 1102 puppies and mom dogs from animal shelters and rescuers and individuals that were not able to care for or find them homes. We maintaineed relationships with 24 shelters in colorado and new mexico.
medical health care - our program helped to regulate the colorado state law that all pets imported into colorado must be inspected for health. We provided all puppies 3 months and older with a rabies vaccine as required by colorado law. We provided each pet with other up to date vaccinations and medical care, spay and neuter and microchips as needed.
volunteer and foster program - we provide the community with hands on experience to work with animals and learn to care for and find homes for pets in our area. We work with veterinary tech schools to provide community service hours and hands on training.
