I'm a neonatologist and proud supporter of the work that CPCQC does for the families and infants in Colorado. This organization is an incredible asset to our state's perinatal/maternal/neonatal work and remains dedicated to serving infants and families through advocacy, policy change, and quality improvement work. This organization has grown exponentially due to the dedication and commitment from their staff, board members, and hospital supporters.

CPCQC is an incredible organization. I have seen first-hand the amazing work that goes into their quality improvement initiatives. The work CPCQC does is not just a reaction to the causes of maternal morbidity and mortality, but is a proactive effort to prevent it.

CPCQC is a national leader in prioritizing the lived experience and patient voice into all levels of the organization. They have a dedicated board and staff that put their heart, their mind, and their energy into this important work. It has been an honor to work with the organization in several different capacities and I look forward to continuing this partnership moving forward.

CPCQC is working to make Colorado the safest place to have a baby. They work tirelessly to bring their vision to life through data-driven programs that are making an impact for pregnant and postpartum people, infants, and their families. As a mother of four, I can personally attest to the importance of safe, equitable, and high quality perinatal care. We are lucky to have this organization as a resource and champion for clinicians and families in Colorado.

Valley View Hospital has been very involved with the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative. We participate in the Substance Exposed newborn, CHoSEN, the Substance Use Disorders for mothers group and the SOAR group, helping reduce primary cesareans. We have changed many protocols for infants and have decreased length of stay for infants born to mothers with SUD. We have also changed our practice around screening for mental health and substance use in the clinics prenatally and in the hospital making many referrals as needed. Our primary cesarean rate has decreased with our participation in this group. The support we have from the CPCQC team has been amazing and are easy to approach and always find me answers to questions we have. I have worked closely with this team to help make a poster to present at a national nurses convention this June. They offer monthly coaching classes and free resources that are amazing. The networking they provide is also invaluable to these projects leading to safer patient care. This team is amazing!

This organization plays an extremely beneficial role in promoting health and well-being of our maternal population in the state of Colorado. They coordinate best care for our most vulnerable patients. Given the alarming rates of maternal morbidity and mortality in the United States, their work directly impacts these concerns by coordinating projects and using data to drive best practice, set standards and promote evidence-based care for patients in both rural and urban settings. We are fortunate to have CPCQC making such a valuable and measurable difference for women and their babies.
