Of all the non-profits I have ever volunteered with, this one is by far the best. Every year over the last 3 years this organization has helped several people get their smile back. I have worked with them as an assitant and they make sure all assistants, doctors, volunteers, and technicians are 100% taken care of.
I come with my mothers office, so I usually get my teeth worked on along with volunteering. The dental professionals that show up every year are so amazingly gifted and respectful. Regarless of your history or background they make it a point to accomodate everyone. I love going to these every year that this is what I have chosen to do as a career.

Mission: The mission of the colorado mission of mercy (comom) is to provide quality dental services, at no cost, to individuals of all ages who cannot afford and access dental care; eliminating dental pain, promoting oral health, creating smiles, and providing oral health education.
Programs: Comom is a large-scale dental clinic that is held annually in a colorado community. Each calendar year the organization holds a two-day event transforming a facility into a clinic with 125 dental chairs and is able to serve 1,500 patients. This event was held in october 2017 and therefore is not reflected in this form 990. At the clinic, patients initially undergo a health and dental evaluation, and then patients are provided with cleanings, fillings, root canals and extractions. When possible, comom dentists prepare porcelain crowns, and interim partial and complete dentures to enable patients to have a natural smile. In order to facilitate sustained oral health, patients are given home-care instruction on how to care for their teeth and the importance of a balanced nutrition and preventive dental care. During the clinic, nearly 200 volunteer dentists along with hundreds of dental hygienists, assistants, lab technicians, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and a myriad of lay volunteers will travel to the community and work in tandem with community groups and agencies to better the oral health of those in need.
