Causes: Administration of Justice, Crime & Law
Mission: To preserve and enhance the fairness, impartiality and excellence of co's courts, to further public understanding of the colorado judicial system, and to ensure that the courts meet the needs of the people.
Programs: Judicial education fund - cji raised funds to support continuing education for state justices, judges, magistrates and judicial department employees. Funds raised by cji specifically for judicial education grants are held at the denver foundation in the judicial education fund.
public education 1) $10,000-our courts support: in partnership with the co bar association and other community and education groups, cji supported the our courts-co public education program. Information on state courts, federal courts, lincoln's legacy of equality and liberty, civil cases, criminal cases, bankruptcy cases, divorce cases and immigration courts were presented to more than 14,000 people statewide. 2) $3,000-legal resource day support: objective is to provide education and information to the co public focusing on self represented litigants.
