Colorado Humanities is a 34 year old agency that serves over 200,000 people that live in Colorado every year. Offering adult programs that teach the relevancy of history in today's world, we run three outdoor 'events' that feature the stories of relevant historical figures in live performances at four locations in the state of Colorado. Using the 'chataquan' mode of presenting, the stories utilizing adults and children depicting everyone from Abraham Lincoln to Audubon to tell the stories . Additional work is done in the areas of children school-based programs, literacy programs - all featuring the overview that history can help people with today's world. Working closely with schools, libraries and museums, the work of Colorado Humanities is revered by those that have received the programs offered every year.
