Mission: The colorado ffa foundation seeks resources - human, financial and in-kind - to support agricultural education in colorado, including students )ffa, ata and cyfea), teachers (cvata) and alumni.
Programs: A joint campaign with colorado state university to construct, outfit and staff a facility aimed at aiding in the preparation of students studying to become agricultural educators for post-graduate employment. The facility will simulate a secondary agricultural education classroom, and will provide students with simulated experiences of what they can expect as a secondary agricultural educator. This facility was opened for operations in the fall of 2015. The foundation continues to work towards funding a teaching endowment at this facility as well.
provide support funds to colorado ffa association; provide start-up money for new ffa chapters in the state; print and mail 7,500 calendars to ffa members and supporters; other miscellaneous programs.
ffa provides an awards and scholorships program to recognize ffa members who demonstrate exceptional progress in their agricultural enterprises and studies in areas ranging from agricultural sales to wildlife management. Cash and travel awards and scholorships are given to top winners. Approximately 250 students participated in the awards and scholorship program last year.
