Mission: Promote understanding of colorado water issues.
Programs: Publications: headwaters magazine is distributed to more than 4,000 recipients per year, with many additional online reads. A series of desk references called citizen's guides is produced covering a range of topics to provide coloradans with accurate information on water resource issues. Both publications are also available on the water education colorado website.
tours, conferences & workshops: in 2017, nearly 900 people attended the annual river basin tour, the sustaining colorado watersheds conference, and various other tours and trainings to gain firsthand experience on current water resource issues and to collaborate in an educational setting.
leadership programs: the water leaders program trains 15-16 water industry professionals each year in leadership skills, and the water fluency program provides in-depth curriculum for 35 elected officials, city and county staff, board members, community leaders, and others without a professional water background.
