CDI has to be the greatest nonprofit organization thus far. The organization has helped me in various areas such as school, applying for colleges, networking, and life in general. They work with you so that they are able to make things possible. Not only did they help me with school but they helped me to get involved in the community.
CDI has been a huge part of my life and I can't thank the organization enough for everything they have done to help me with the college process. The counselors are patient and genuinely care about each student. Personally, CDI has helped me to stay motivated during the strenuous college application process a year ago and are still supporting me through college by checking in with us every two weeks. Because my parents had not gone to college, without CDI, I would have been completely lost in the process. This organization has opened opportunities for me by teaching me how to apply for financial aid and also how to reach out to the greater community to find internships or learning opportunities. I can't imagine where I would be now without CDI. In fact, they suggested me to apply to a couple of Ivy League schools, something I never had even thought of doing. I am proud to say that I am currently a student at Princeton University all because CDI gave me the extra push and opened a door I had never thought existed. A big thanks to CDI for all of the great work they do!
CDI is an extraordinary non-profit organization, and without CDI's advising, I don't think I would have actually been attending a four years college. As an immigrants in the United States, and first generation to college student, my family and I knew nothing about college application and process. CDI took me during my junior year in high school, advised and helped me with my college application. Even thou I have already graduated from high school, CDI constantly check to know how I'm doing in college, and support me during my rough time in college. I'm extremely proud to be a CDI's Scholars.
I became a CDI scholar when I was a junior in high school, and I'm still an active member to this day as a junior in college. I don’t think there is any way I could ever pay them back for what they have done for me, because that is how much they have helped. With the help of this organization, I was able to get tutoring, perform better on my ACT test, write better college essays, and apply to scholarships. Any time I have any questions on any school related issue, I get advice from CDI. They assisted me apply for jobs and internships. CDI has helped me tremendously throughout the past 4 years. This organization has truly been life changing and played a huge role in the success of my student life.
CDI is an organization that fulfills its mission and goes beyond. This organization helps so many high school students, college students and their families find opportunities that can change their lives. As a CDI scholar, I can truly say that this organization is an incredibly helpful.
My relationship with Collegiate Directions, Inc. began when I was a High School Junior, just beginning to think about my college career. Today, I am a few months away from completing my Sophomore year of college and I can say that CDI and its staff has played an imminent role since then. CDI serves to assist students in a number of areas including ones academic integrity and moral support. We individually identify with different characteristics that shed light onto our holistic being and CDI was able to capture each of those characteristics. The thing I am perhaps most thankful for is that counselors and tutors alike have gotten to know their students personally and have seen our potential. It's one thing to believe in yourself or have your family believe in you, but for someone to invest so much time in effort when they don't have the obligation to means a lot. CDI scholars are given assistance with college applications, become informed in financial terminology, go on college visits, participate in workshops, serve the community, receive ACT/SAT prep classes, and receive networking tools. All of this is given to us under one condition; that we persevere and achieve our goals.
My experiences with CDI has been very, very important not only in academics, but also for my future. The help I received, which included tutoring from professionals, college mentoring, opportunities to meet with college admission representatives and much more, would have not been possible would it have not been for CDI because of our family's financial situation. CDI gives many college prospective students with low income families the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of attending college. To me the help I received was incredible and the learning environments were very nurturing. The CDI staff are extremely understanding, and I cannot thank them enough for the help I received.
As a CDI scholar, I can truly say that this organization is exceptional! CDI gives support and opportunity to first-generation to college students like myself. Countless hours were spent advising and preparing me for college and for this I am so thankful. Fortunately, those at CDI were by my side during such a crucial time in my life!
Indeed, we consider ourselves extremely graceful of Collegiate-Directions opportunity offers talented students from different cultural and economic needs extracts. The enthusiastic and motivating staff, knows expertly how to identify the capabilities of students and strengthen their weaknesses. They are so specialized and skilled in accomplish effectively (time-wise) a leverage of their skills in different subjects, in preparation to have better competitiveness in entrance exams. These reinforced skills transcends during college, until graduating from college, and therefore achieve and excel in society.
CDI is an amazing program that helped me excel in my academics by giving me an opportunity to find out about great universities. They helped me out with college and financial aid application , which would have been difficult to do if it was not for CDI because I am a first generation college student.
CDI is one that I consider to be a part of my extended family. I don't know where I would be right now without CDI. They gave me that extra push that I needed to continue on with what is ahead of me. CDI provides a place where I can come to for help, a family that I can ask for life advice, and a support group that I can always depend on - whenever and wherever I am. As a first-generation to college student, I knew nothing about college applications and processes. But CDI took me in like a lost child and led me step-by-step, convincing me that I can do it. CDi eased the trouble and frustration that every high school student goes through. I'm extremely blessed to be a part of this amazing organization, and I can honestly say that without the help of CDI, I wouldn't be leading the wonderful life that I do today.
I can honestly say that Collegiate Directions, Inc. (CDI) is by far one of the best non-profit in the DMV area. As a CDI scholar, I have benefited tremendously and continue to gain from the hard work and generosity of CDI. They go out of their way to help the students and their families! I love CDI and I will forever be a proud and grateful scholar!
As a student who has been a part of Collegiate Directions, Inc. (CDI) for over two years now, I must say that this non-profit organization has helped me in so many ways. I got involved with CDI as a junior in high school, and I'm still an active member through this day as a sophomore in college. With the help of this organization, I was able to get tutoring in my classes, perform better on my SAT/ACT tests, write better college essays, apply to many scholarships, which all in all helped me tremendously throughout the college admissions process. All of this for free! Retrospectively, I would not be where I am today without the immense assistance and wonderful help from the fabulous staff members at Collegiate Directions Incorporated. This organization has truly played an important role in the success of my student life; therefore, I highly recommend it to many others out there.
