Mission: The Collective is a collaborative ensemble consisting of dancers andchoreographers who share the mission to further develop dance asan art form. Founded in 1999, The Collective was established to providean environment for Baltimore's professional dancers and choreographersto work as a group, using each member's individual, distinctive voice tocreate and perform new works. Over the years, the company has grownand matured, and although the organizational structure has changed, thespirit of shared vision remains the driving force behind this unique group.The Co-Directors of the company encourage members to bring input andinvite several individuals to choreograph each year.
