Aside from Sheryl’s incredible investigative expertise, I have yet to come across anyone with as much energy, enthusiasm and drive as Sheryl in this field. I have no idea how she does it, but she’s amazing. It’s a pleasure and honour to work with Sheryl and to support the tireless work she does, Paul Maillardet

Sheryl McCallum and the CCIRI put forth efforts beyond measure to help families across the country find closure for their victim family members whose deaths have been unsolved mysteries for many years, or even decades ago. Monies are raised through countless events and wine and crime venues in hopes of gaining exposure for unsolved cold cases, again, to benefit the families of cold case victims. A remarkable team of experts paired with an Emmy award winning CSI Director of the CCIRI provides the BEST opportunity for victims to find justice.
The mission of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute could not be more important: to bringing peace to the loved ones of missing or murdered victims, many of whom have been forgotten by all by their families. These crimes have gone unsolved, often for many years, and the work of the CCIRI brings not just peace but justice to these families. The CCIRI is 100% volunteer, with members who work tirelessly to bring a resolution to a case previously considered to be unsolvable. The concept behind CCIRI is ingenious, using lay persons, students, criminal justice professionals, and others working side-by-side to take a fresh look at crimes committed years or even decades ago. The CCIRI founder, Sheryl "Mac" McCollum, is dedicated and committed, and she is always quick to place credit for this upon those who work the cases with her. As a criminal justice professional with 50 years of experience as a law enforcement officer, a victim advocate, a criminal defense paralegal, and as a liaison with a prosecutor's office, I can state unequivocally that the work of the CCIRI is important and meaningful. Mac and the CCIRI have given a voice to victims who have been overlooked and to families who were destined to never have closure.
I think this is one of the most awesome non profit organization.
Every year on my birthday I put this as my fundraiser & get what I ask for. Awesome. I know I can help solve at least one or more cases with the money raised !!
They help with cold cases!! Many victims are forgotten but never here.
Ms Sheryl is one of the most caring, smart & just plain amazing.

I have had the most informative experience with this team, especially Mac- and would highly recommend them to get the job done. Not only are they so full of knowledge, they are incredibly sensitive when they need to be.
Founded by Sheryl McCollum, the dedication and perseverance of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, in turning cold cases hot is unmatched. Able to corrale those with the exact expertise needed to work a case, the collective detective minds and resources truly moves the case along. I support this organization because I believe in this kind of productive collaboration, with hearts in the right places- finding answers, not glory.
I am a giant fan of what Mac is doing here, education and awareness is KEY to realizing real progress in the Criminal Justice system.
We need more engagement and caring from regular citizens, and Mac empowers folks to get involved and get educated about how our system works. And what they can do about it!
Our Hearts will lead us. Mac helps.
It's fascinating how programs like this exist, not only because of the incredible work they do, but because how accessible they are to the general public, being able to reach out with questions and in some scenarios unsolved cases is nothing short of magical. Furthermore the skilled and talented people involved, access to world class investigators like Sheryl McCollum and her team , people like Nancy Grace and Joseph Scott Morgan just blows the mind. Let's keep these programs funded and shine a light on the amazing work they do !!
As a 22 year veteran of Law Enforcement, now retired, I often look back at the many things that could have been better.
Most were out of my control, such as available technology or a morning watch shift assignment. I, along with the other men and women of Law Enforcement, did what was necessary to get the job done and go home safely.
There are 3 areas of focus for Law Enfocement:
1. Prevention of future crimes.
2. Handling what is happening right now.
3. Investigating what has already occurred.
The third focus starts out strong but quickly fades away as new cases come along, witnesses disappear and an overwhelming case load starts stacking up.
Eventually the past is filed away in a box labeled "CLL" Closed Lack Leads. And placed in storage. The amount of energy put forth for these cases dwindles to nothing and all that may be left is a victim or family and their memories.
The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is a group that gives hope, energy and new light to those forgotten files. Families are brought closure and peace with the knowledge that justice has prevailed.
Having worked with Mack and her crew I can say there is not a more dedicated or laser focused group out there doing this wonderful work. The years of experience they bring to a cold case energizes everyone involved and opens up new avenues of investigation that often times were overlooked during the initial case.
I feel most importantly there is Sheryl "Mack" McCollum, the driving force behind the institutes work. I could speak for hours about her experience and knowledge, who she knows and education, but in my opinion those aren't what makes a difference.
Sheryl cares. To some that may seem such a small and insignificant thing but to a victim and family it means the world.
To know someone is joining your fight for justice and bringing all the resources she has at her disposal. To have someone sitting by your side through the highs and lows, through the dead end leads and triumphs of a confession. That is what makes a difference.
That is Sheryl McCollum and The Cold Case Invegative Research Institute.
The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is a network of amazing advocates and investigators who help with cold cases at no cost. They are good stewards of money and other resources. They are also amazing at helping volunteers find their unique way of helping, even if they have no experience. If I went missing, this is the organization I would want looking for me. I have been volunteering with them since 2019 and have been thoroughly impressed.
Can’t saw enough good about Sheryl McCollum and the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. Sheryl is compassionate, committed, passionate and connected. Her services are free to victim’s families. You want her on your case!

I have done volunteer work for Sheryl “Mac” McCollum and the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. I know her to be down-to-earth, victim-centered and a straight shooter. She is authentic and delivers the truth in a way that a victim’s family can usually digest. She guides me, the student, through questioning down a path where I can usually come to see the “light” for myself. And, apart from being an all around super sleuth, she cares to the depths of her soul. Proud to be assist and learn from CCIRI.
CCIRI does such incredibly important work in order to give victims their names back, give grieving families closure and to bring these families Justice. It's all too easy to let cold cases slip out of our collective conscience, which is what makes supporting the painstaking work this group of dedicated individuals does every day so very important. Be a part of something bigger than ourselves and show your support to bring the families of loved one the Justice that is deserved. ❤️
I had the privilege of meeting and talking with Sheryl McCollum over the last few months, and I have to say she impressed the hell out of me. Being an NYPD Detective for 30 yrs, now retired it is rare to come across someone with the level of commitment and dedication that is needed to conduct a Cold Case Investigation. CCIRI and Sheryl are a step above others in this field, and it shows in their work. To run a complex Cold Case you need energy, focus, an imagination, and an ability to think "outside the box", and thats exactly what they bring to the table. After being in Law Enforcement for more then half of my life, its so impressive and a relief to know that the hard working investigators out there are still full of energy to get the job done, and to bring a level of relief to the victims families!
If you are a family member looking for help with a cold case, then look no further than this victim oriented organization. You’re in good hands with Sheryl and her team as they can help you navigate through the process.
I am continually impressed by the unwavering dedication and selflessness of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. This nonprofit organization's mission to assist law enforcement and families in solving unsolved homicides, missing persons, and kidnapping cases is nothing short of remarkable. What stands out most is their commitment to providing these invaluable services entirely at no cost, ever.
CCIRI's work is a testament to the power of community-driven efforts, compassion, and the unyielding pursuit of justice. By taking on cold cases that may have otherwise been forgotten or overlooked, they offer hope to countless families who have been waiting for answers for far too long. Their tireless dedication to solving these cases, paired with their tireless pursuit of truth, has made a substantial impact in the lives of those they serve.
The organization's team of experts, volunteers, and professionals bring their unique skills and experience to bear on these challenging cases, making CCIRI an indispensable resource for both law enforcement and families desperate for closure. Their work is not just about solving mysteries; it's about providing solace to grieving families, bringing closure to communities, and ensuring that justice is served.
In a world where resources are often limited and cold cases can remain unsolved for decades, CCIRI's commitment to offering their services without financial burden is a testament to their integrity and compassion. Their work is a shining example of how nonprofits can make a profound impact on society, and I wholeheartedly commend their efforts to make our world a safer and more just place. The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute has my utmost respect and gratitude for their extraordinary work in helping to bring long-overdue answers and peace to those who need it most.
Sheryl Mac McCollum is simply amazing and I know the work she does is unmatched. She is a brilliant investigator and a fierce advocate. You know if you are supporting this nonprofit your money will be supporting one of the best places out there.
Sheryl and her team are top notch. Not only are they elite in their professionalism, but hands down the best of the best because of their genuine care for victims , their families and law enhancement agencies. Highly recommend!
Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, founded by crime scene expert , Sheryl McCollum, is an organization near and dear to my heart. They take on cold cases, the hardest to solve and the ones that have typically long been forgotten, and work to bring justice to the affected families. This is victim advocacy at its finest! However, Sheryl doesn't stop there. In addition to using her expertise to work on behalf of cold case victims, she has developed an incredibly large network of forensic professionals and enlists their assistance in working the cold cases. So impressive but it gets even better! Cold Case Investigative Research Institute takes on thousands of student volunteers to help work the cases, too, thereby making education and training of future crime scene investigators a priority. This doesn't just benefit cold case victims but provides an invaluable investment in the community-at-large.
Any time that I have had the opportunity to hear Sheryl discuss a case, I learn something new and valuable and she doesn't just talk about the cases. She actually works on cases herself! I can honestly say that she epitomizes the literal meaning of "in the trenches" because she actually gets down there, in the dirt, working to help bring victims some semblance of peace and justice. From the victims' perspective, seeing someone so committed to helping them get answers and to work toward holding someone accountable is meaningful beyond words.
Please support the work of Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. They are a non-profit organization that relies upon the generosity of the community to be able to continue doing such critical work on behalf of victims.
It’s estimated that there are 120,000 murders in the United States that go unsolved and are classified as “cold cases”. Statistically, only one percent of those cold cases are eventually solved. The CCIRI, led by Sheryl (Mac) McCollum and numerous volunteers, who are experts in the field of criminology, criminal justice, and other related fields of study, work tirelessly to solve those cold cases and provide information to the victim’s family.
The CCIRI’s success, boils down to Sheryl’s diverse team approach. The combination of seeking out individuals who are experts and leaders in their field and combing university students across the US, has proven to be the key in solving cases and pushing cold cases forward, so they can eventually be solved.
My experience with the CCIRI, has been phenomenal! Sheryl and her team, have provided countless hours of consultation and education to university students and communities. Sharing knowledge and experience has proven beneficial in preparing students to enter the criminal justice field and thus, creating a new generation of volunteers that are committed to solving what others have labeled “unsolvable “.
Additionally, the CCIRI is breaking ground with new research and leading the way on how to view case evidence.
All of the CCIRI work, culminates in providing answers for more families and making a difference on the cold cases. —With this group of volunteers, I believe that 1% of cold cases solved, will be an outdated statistic.
Can’t say enough about the excellent work they do and the amazing Sheryl McCollum!!

I have been a volunteer with Cold Case Investigative Research Institute since I learned of them in 2019. I have been impressed with how well they manage their donor dollars and the creative ways they raise more. They are also amazing at meeting volunteers "where they are at"- tapping into their talents in ways to best support the organization and the victims/families they serve. Which brings me to the thing I most love about this organization. They are passionate advocates for victims, their families, justice and the truth. They don't have an agenda beyond finding answers. If you are looking for an organization to support with your dollars or your time, both will be well and wisely spent with CCIRI.

The team at the Cold Case Investigative Research is innovative and compassionate in how they tackle cold cases. They are inclusive in the cases the include and in who they welcome as volunteers. They are also good stewards of the funds donated to them. Having worked almost exclusively with nonprofits in my professional and volunteer careers, I know this magical combination is NOT common. I rated them 5 stars because 10 wasn't an option.
Police agencies and families often reach out for help or answers in solving their cold cases. Both need closure, especially the families who have waited and suffered for so long.
The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute brings together forensic experts that can help families and law enforcement with unsolved homicides and missing persons. There are over 250,000 unsolved homicides in the United States this does not include missing persons. Where does the answer lay to solving these cases? The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is without a doubt an answer. This nonprofit institute has been a God send to many law-enforcement agencies and families that have continued to persevere in their quest for justice.
Families want to know what they can do to help solve their loved one’s cold case. They are often frustrated or upset and feel forgotten. The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute helps bridge the gap between law enforcement and families as they assist in helping solve a case through the numerous avenues they have available to them.
By working together as a team with law enforcement, families, and forensic experts, a case has a better chance of being solved.

As a genetic genealogist I have seen first hand the amazing things being done by the CCIRI team. Solving cases that have had no answers for years and giving much needed answers to victims families is truly a remarkable accomplishment.
I have had the unique pleasure of working with this organization for many years. As a supporter, expert and mentor to the students. Cold Case has spent many thousand man hours working tirelessly to solve the unsolvable with great results. This organization was birthed out of Sheryl McCollum's drive to get to the bottom of cold cases and allow the family and loved ones of the dead and missing victims to find closure. I encourage anyone that has the heart and mind toward justice to be a part of this organization. Either as a volunteer, financial supporter or both. This organization is what justice is all about.
Sheryl and CCIRI are as professional and diligent as any organization in the space. Not only that, but her compassion for everyone is beyond compare. She has no equal!
As one of the students I can tell you there is no other organization that allows us the opportunity to investigate real cases while helping real families!

CCIRII, led my Sheryl McCullom, is a top notch cold case investigative group that is on the cutting edge. As a relatively new forensic tool on the market, Sheryl recognized the value of the M-Vac and immediately began to incorporate it in their investigations. That's only one example. Staying up to date on the latest in investigative tools, combined with years of experience, enables CCIRII to help agencies solve cases that no other group can.
If I could give this organization 1000 stars I would. The work effort and seflessness. Speak for it self.
Love everything about it. Thank you and keep up the great work

It has been a honor to be associated with CCIRI top notch organization of Professional Experts in the law enforcement field outstanding investigative skills. Sheryl McCollum is definitely a skilled professional in the study of cold cases, my father CJ Strickland with the Atlanta Police Department worked one of Atlanta's most intriguing cases The Disappearance of Mary Shotwell Little the only case he did not solve in his 35 year career, dad retired and this case still went unsolved and cold.Decades later CCIRI and Sheryl McCollum were instrumental in pushing to have this case reopened and the original players in this case were brought back to join the CCIRI TEAM what a outstanding event it was. Thank You CCIRI and Sheryl McCollum for this dedication to this case.

This is a great organization led by a true and compassionate professional, Sheryl McCollum. Her dedication and compassion toward crime victims is the reason why CCRI is such a success in getting answers to the questions most often asked from family members. Her team of volunteers, students, and experts all dedicate themselves in helping Shery (and CCRI) in bringing justice to those who deserve it and hope to families who need it! It is an honor to be associated with CCRI. Sheryl is a driving force who inspires us all to remember victims long forgotten. Thank you Sheryl and CCRI!!
I became acquainted with the CCIRI from its inception at the former Bauder College. There I met Sheryl McCollum, a gifted criminal justice professor and professional. Her tutelage led an enthusiastic group of students to delve deeply into some of the nation's most public unsolved cases and to make discoveries that pushed them forward toward being solved. I am enduringly amazed at the deep detective work "Chief" McCollum and her students accomplished. It was one of the most enriching academic experiences of my career. This institute and Professor McCollum have propelled many successful careers in criminal justice as well as given families resolution. I highly recommend the work of this Institute and hope for its long, successful operation.
On the days working with the Cold Case Instution, the cases felt to me as personal. What I meant by felt to me as personal is getting closer and peace for the victims families. Even some of the cases worked on didn’t make any sense on the conclusion at the beginning before it came a cold case. The cold case thought myself things not always seems what said happened or appeared to be. Examples of things don’t seems to happened or appeared to be on the original report are the Kirsten Davis case and the Boston strangler case couple of examples. You got to figure out the missing pieces what the original report failed to do.
I had the pleasure to work with the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, and when I say pleasure that is understating the feelings I took away from interacting with them here in Oklahoma.
They have the determination to bring every resource available to bear on a case. And they make it clear that they won't engage in a case unless they're sure they can give it the respect and attention that a case deserves.
Wonderful organization.
The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is a trail blazer and a picture of how crimes will be solved in our near future. Passionate and compassionate, the volunteers work tirelessly to help solve cold cases that have haunted our nation for years. Through ground breaking technology, concepts, and the brightest minds our investigation system has to offer, the Institute delivers on every penny they receive. This is a nonprofit that not only can you be proud to donate to, but they make you feel like you are part of the team and treat you like family. Consider donating to this fantastic nonprofit. I did, and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I am a former student and this team is what actually sold me on attending school. Just to be apart of something so monumental was awesome. I gained so much knowledge and saw lives change before my eyes! Whatever Caption McCullum touches turns into greatness! I couldn’t be more proud of being able to say i was once apart of something so great! Much success and continue being phenomenal!
I literally do not know where to start after this sentence....so let’s hope for the best.
Sheryl McCollum has been so much of an inspiration to me on my journey from a student to being in the Justice system. She is someone that is not wasting her time she has found ways to use anyone rather it be someone that is a student someone that is expert or signs in daily life. She includes everyone willing to help these families get closure. It’s an amazing organization for the primary reason of solving cases. But also an amazing way to meet people with passion to help and to network in your field.
I was actual Bauder College student volunteer in the Cold Case Investigation Research Institute 2007 to 2011...My first case was Wayne Williams case where the prosecutors believe he was responsible for the murders of 23 of 29 children in Atlanta area. In this institute we learned the technique to ask the right questions to get answers for today....I still use these tool as Mental Health Paraprofessionals. Its a blessing to see program still striving under Chief Sheryl McCollum. We thank you for not taking no for an answer and allowing us students learn under your leadership.
An amazing nonprofit! Sheryl McCollum is the best in the business. This organization really cares about cracking these cases & giving families closure.

This is by far one of my favorite charities to donate to and attend their functions.
As a body language expert, I have contributed my expertise to Sheryl McCollum's organization and all I can say is that she is the BEST there is. We worked on the Natalie Wood unsolved crime which happened back in the 1980's. Sheryl was the one who brought this then forgotten unsolved crime to having worldwide attention decades later, with a possible resolution in the very near future. She is a dedicated professional and an excellent communicator who brings to life those who cannot speak for themselves. I have been on many panels with Sheryl in the media and all I can say is she is the consummate professional.
Sheryl and her team are professional and the best in the business
Their work is helping families find the answers they so desperately need. Every case gets the same attention to detail that they all deserve. Having met Sheryl in person, her expertise and passion can be felt after just a few minutes and is passed on to all those she works with. This nonprofit is changing lives with the work they do.
We are a small non-profit agency serving those left behind after violent death - for every person murdered, there are as many as 10 people immediately and forever affected - mothers, fathers, siblings, wives, husbands, children, etc. One of the main heartbreaks for many of these families is that no offender is every identified and the cases become "cold". The CCIRI came to Albuquerque to help a 25+ year cold case and brought helpers, experts, worked the scene - actually found a new witness - and reviewed all our case materials. All at no cost to us and with adding on-going support. We at NIA/NM's Resource Center for Victims of Violent Death on behalf of all those without answers say THANK YOU and give the HIGHEST rating.
A more dedicated group you will never find. Led by Sheryl McCollum the CCI treats all family members with respect & determination to solve the case. Unanswered questions will be answered. The group works with law enforcement and all avenues will be explored to reach a satisfactory conclusion. I support this groups efforts & professionalism 100 %.
This the greatest organization I have ever been a part of... The families, volunteers, researchers, law enforcement agencies and all other professionals that help work to solve the cases that Cold Case Institute takes on are the best of the best.. As a former student researcher, I have been, and continue to be, impressed by the level of dedication or Sheryl McCollum and others. This group is truly doing God's work because everyone involved cares about victims of crimes..
The people at the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute (CCIRI) do amazing work to educate investigators, forensic experts, media people and citizens at large, perhaps most importantly benefiting the victims of violent crime. A tremendous asset to their community. Strongly recommended.
Cold Case Investigative Research Institute Inc is dedicated to excellence. Sheryl McCollum is a consummate professional dedicated to what is so often missing in others with good intentions: the means.
The means to solving cold cases presupposes caring about justice for victims, drive, and commitment. These are all expected. It is in Mac's commitment to deep learning of the oft-overlooked detail within a case, through the statements and interviews, where truth is found. Some estimates indicate that up to 70% of unsolved cases contain a "confession by pronoun" within the files; that is, somewhere within the files, a person has given a verbal indication of guilty knowledge of the crime. This is not found without intense and ongoing training.
When one is as dedicated to small detail as Sheryl McCollum is, success in these cold cases will be realized.
I endorse Cold Case Investigative Research Institute and hope that other like minded investigators, will engage and collaborate to facilitate justice and closure for the families of victims. A team of commitment to ongoing learning professionals is unstoppable. They share not only their expertise with each other, but their enthusiasm for learning new methods is contagious.
Mac's personal commitment is enhanced by this intense drive to get to the truth through learning.

When you read all of the articles online about CCIRI, you realize how astounding this organization is. The lives they have touched over the years is truly amazing. Sheryl McCollum is an unique individual who does the right thing and has the victims in mind in everything she does. And as for the students, her impact is immeasurable. They have an opportunity as college students to work on real cases. This dos not seems to be afforded to other students in any degree program. OI wish I had the access to the experts they get to talk to when I was in school. Great Job - Please keep up the great work in helping others.
The Cold Case Institute headed by Sheryl McCollum provides an amazing service. Their group of professionals and students work tirelessly to help us with answers into our friend's murder. The Cold Case folks are a group of smart and talented sleuths with a big heart. Thanks to the Cold Case Institute we were able to connect with some of the top law enforcement to look into our friends murder. I recommend the Cold Case Institute if you're looking for answers into a cold case.
The CCIRI is at BEST the most positive Institute that gives great hands on experience. I'm proud to say I've volunteered for such institute. Its just a great thing to be a part of. You get to continuously help others and its ongoing. The passion this institute holds shows by going beyond and outward for families to bring closure no matter the age of the case. I will always support the CCIRI!! Thanks for all that you've taught me through this institute. The skills and vocabulary you learn will stick with you along the way!! Hands down its just a great team to be a part of!!
The people involved in this organization are not only absolutely professional, but exude excellence and dedication to their cause. I have never met a more dedicated group of individuals. Not only that, they are inspiring. They have inspired me to further my own education in order to help victims of crime. It would be an honor to work or support them in any capacity. I am a nurse practitioner and they have influenced me greatly to someday be a colleague in their pursuit of justice and wholeness to victims and families of violent crime.

This is one of the coolest programs in the united states!! I had the pleasure for three years in the row of letting my medical studies students be the crime lab. I love the innovation and the opportunities it allowed the students to investigate cases and also get real world experience.
Sheryl McCollum has done an incredible job with this program. She has taught and given students experiences that they would never be able to do on their own. She is one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever known. Her enthusiasm is contagious which ignites the students into learning by doing. She is the reason the Cold Case Investigative Institute has far exceeded any program of its kind.
Sheryl approached me years ago wanting to get our University and students (Auburn Montgomery) involved. We got involved with another local University, Faulkner University, and have held joint events for the students. It has been a win/win situation for the students. This effort helped us to develop a Cold Case class where University students get to work actual cases. The hands on experience for the students is priceless!! I have never seen so many excited students wanting to participate and be a part of the investigative world. It is amazing to see how hard students will work and how energized they can become when given a chance to work with experts on investigating cases.
I cannot say enough about the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. I have known Sheryl McCollum and many of the experts for a number of years. The team consistently works tirelessly for the families and the victims to resolves these cases. Every victim and their families need and deserve justice. The students that also participate and volunteer their time and energy should be commended for their ongoing efforts to review and locate additional evidence. I have had the honor of working with this outstanding team on cases for almost a decade and words cannot express how fulfilling it is to meet the family members and hear their stories of strength and endurance to see that justice has been served. The emotions of walking through a crime scene and imagining the heartache is challenging at times but the greater reward is the main focus of this dynamic team. Please support them in every way possible so that this work can continue for many years to come.
Fantastic organization led by an incredible individual. Sheryl truly takes every case she investigates to heart, giving that case and its affected individuals proper care and respect.
I have worked with this organization for several years and what they are doing is phenomenal and unprecedented. Their dedication to solving cold cases ensures that there will be cases solved that might have otherwise been ignored. This is an organization that makes a positive difference in the world and for that they should be celebrated and supported.
Awesome opportunity for students to learn from thousands of cases that have been Miss interpreted by thousands -- get in
Sheryl and her team work relentlessly to help serve the community and get justice for these victims and their families! She will never turn down a case and has brought up many cold cases that seem to have been forgotten. Amazing heart and dedication along with Sheryl's experience and education is priceless!
This group not only helps victims and victims families, it serves as a reminder of how passionate Sheryl and her team are in helping students. Her students learn not just about investigative skills but learn about the emotions involved in cold cases and how the families are impacted.
With this type investigative skill set, knowledge, and experience, students are better equipped in knowing how, and understanding why, certain patterns of behavior are observed and recognizing how certain pieces of evidence are processed.
The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is committed to serving local and world wide families and communities. Experts from all facets of the investigative realm (forensics, judicial, investigative, law enforcement, advocates, educators, and students), work together in the hope of finding answers to the families and getting justice for the victims.
This is Amazing group. I first came in contact with Mrs Sheryl M who has a lovely spirt while attending Bauder college . This programs helps people to find answers that the police sometimes may over looked and also help bring closure to some families. Keep up the good work , and Im wishing the best success. Thanks for all I learned
My first CCI-GA event focused on the murder of Kristen Davis near Vidalia GA. I realized this organization is the last chance loved ones have at getting justice for their loved ones. From that point forward, I was hooked! We need experts to hello solve these cases and beyond justice. CCI makes it happen! They will always have my support!
Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is more than solving a case or looking over evidence, Sheryl McCollum's make sure you have the passion, the interest and care for the families before you start looking over a cold case, not only do you get the INVESTIGATIVE SKILLS,you get skills in writing, communication, organizations ,its so much that is being taught at the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. This is amazing it helps so many families have closure and give most people hope. I absolutely love the leaders like my own family and participates for putting their all into this organization. It is truly a great hands on experience and pray it's around when my son gets older.
Such a great organization, led by an exemplary individual who is dedicated and committed to helping solve crimes from long ago!!!
We are fortunate to be able to have the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute help our family in the investigation of our son and brother William (Billy) Smolinski Jr. missing and presumed murdered( according to police reports) on August 24, 2004.
It has been a long day to day battle to bring our Billy home but with the attention and help of Sheryl and investigative institute we are appreciative for the guidance to bring attention to his case. They are helpful to our family and so many others who need the attention to possibly achieve resolution.
What an honor to know and be part this incredible group of altruistic individuals doing amazing work to help solve cold cases for the victims and family members. Sheryl McCollum is a professional with the highest integrity!
Sheryl McCollum and members of the CCIRI are dedicated to solving cold cases, they give many families hope!
My daughter, Jessie Foster, has being missing since March 29, 2006. Since that time I have tried very hard to get help, and Cold Case Investigative Research Institute is one that has been there for with me for years.
Not only have they looked into Jessie's disappearance, they have helped greatly in raising awareness to her case. I have referred other families to this organization, but also, I have seen them simply offer to help.
Sincerely, Glendene Grant.
Being a mother of a murdered child, and an unsolved cold case. I have had the honor of meeting with Sheryl McCollum, the head of the CCIRI, some experts, and several students. I didn't know what to expect when I met with them. I was nervous.
After meeting Sheryl and some of the team-my nervousness immediately disappeared. The warm welcome I received from the group was extremely heartwarming.
I can say with ALL CONFIDENCE, " This is the group I would want working on anyone's case, especially my son's case!"
Sheryl is the BEST. She takes time out of her busy schedule to answer questions I may have. She is on top of things. I am very comfortable and extremely confident having her team of experts & students working our case.
This Institute has been formed to help bring justice and bring hope to families that have been left behind. They also help the students learn "on the site" training during their time on a case.
I have nothing but PRAISE, and honor knowing I have such a great group of people working my son's case-and other cases.
What Sheryl and the experts are doing for these students will definitely bring out the BEST in our future law enforcement areas!!! This is what we to help raise the level of experience and confidence in our future students.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️
