Worked with Coco's Cupboard for many years. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, always willing to educate and help. They have helped me re-home many animals and their community outreach program educates and gives back to low-income families which do not have the means to spay/neuter their pets. They always help animals in need (surrendered, abandoned, abused, or injured) in whatever way they can. Great organization! Hands down the best I've worked with in Georgia.
Nova was my soul dog. She was everything I needed to make it through a rough season of my life. I met her on the first day I started working with Coco’s and fell in love with that disaster of a dog. She was so goofy and had minimal manners. When Coco’s first brought her in, she was in kidney failure. I wanted to take her home but didn’t know how to really handle the care of a terminally ill dog. Suzanne answered my calls constantly. She didn’t shame me for freaking out at the slightest change of behavior in Nova and she was always willing to help me get her into the vet if needed. This rescue made me feel like I wasn’t alone when trying to provide Nova with the best care possible. I unfortunately lost her after about a year and a half. The entire Coco’s family was so supportive and loving while I grieved my best friend. I genuinely could not ask for a better or more caring rescue family.

Coco’s is an amazing organization. They go above and beyond for all of their animals. I have a 2 year old Rottie baby that I got from Coco’s and 2 kittens. My Rottie has health issues and they have been nothing short of incredible when it comes to making sure we have everything we need for her and checking on her on a regular basis. I believe this is the first rescue I’ve worked with in a while that is TRUELY all about the best thing for the animals. They deserve all the good in the world for all they do for the dogs and cats. So happy to be a part of such a wholesome organization!!
This shelter goes above and beyond to make the animals they take in feel loved and comfortable while waiting for their furever home.
The team at Coco's Cupboard went above and beyond to pair us with our two kittens. They know their pets well, got to know us and then helped us find the right fit for our family. We're so grateful for the care they provide to animals and people alike!
Coco’s Cupboard is a phenomenal place that we visit several times a year. We love going to all of their events and keeping up with all of their activity on special media. We first learned of them years ago and to see the progress in such a short amount of time from all of the volunteers is amazing. They truly help all animals and are very compassionate, caring folks. I will continue supporting Coco’s through all of their future endeavors because they truly do change animals’ lives.
We had a wonderful experience adopting our precious beagle from Coco’s cupboard. Their communication was great and they made the process so easy. We also thought the foster to adopt program they offer is awesome.
These people are angels. They care so much, and strive to make sure each home is a great fit all the way around, From the foster program, to various trainings, these folks are top notch. We had the best experience fostering to adopt, and got our newest best friend out of the deal! 100 out of 10 recommend!!!!
I will never use any other boarding facility, or training team. They all care so much for animals. They give so much to those in their care and give up so much personally to do what they do. Izzy, Rico, and Jax want you to know Coco's Cupboard is the best!

Coco's Cupboard has the most amazing group of volunteers that not only care for 4 leg fur babies but their 2 legged humans. I refer everyone to them for adoptions, fostering, training. You name it they do it! And they really love what they do. It shows in everything they touch. They helped me to understand me Jax. Helped socialize him so we could bring my mom's dog in when she moved in. I will not use any other group of people to help me with my furbaby Jax. They are absolutely angels!
Such a great organization with lots wonderful people- they not only helped me train my 3 dogs, but helped me tremendously when one of them got very sick with a herniated disk and she was unable to walk. The vet told me to put her down but coco’s helped me find someone that was able to help rehabilitate my dog- that was 8 years ago and my Yankee is still alive and living a happy life- when my other dog taco had to cross the rainbow bridge- coco’s team was there for me.
I also love the fact that every Christmas- they have Santa show up for pics with Santa: I can always reach out to them if I have any training related questions.
I am so thankful for this organization.
a wonderful organization that has some of the most wonderful dogs i've ever met, worthy of 5 stars in every way
Coco's Cupboard save so many animals that would otherwise have unhappy endings. They take time to rescue, rehabilitate, and match families with the perfect fur babies. They do a wonderful service to the community.
We adopted Starr through Coco’s and could not have had a better experience. They are the best and continue to help so many pets find their perfect home and people find their perfect pet!

The work that the team at Coco’s does is amazing. They were very instrumental in helping us train a dog we adopted and knew nothing about. A few years later we adopted another dog, this time through Coco’s Cupboard. They were wonderful to deal with and made sure we were a good fit for the dog as much as the dog was a good fit for us. They work tirelessly to help animals in need of a home and I will always use and recommend Coco’s as they are simply the best group I know.
CoCo’s awesome people will do whatever is necessary to make sure your pet, or future pet, is a great fit and in great shape.
So proud to be affiliated with this village of people! Helping people and animals!

It is our pleasure to be a foster for Coco's Cupboard and to help by providing training and rehabilitation for their dogs. They take on challenging cases and have become a go-to source in the community. Their volunteers are truly committed and spend hundreds of hours working to further their cause. We are proud of our affiliation with this amazing rescue!
I’ve admired CoCo’s Cupboard for 20 years or so. They are the most conscientious rescue I have ever known, loving, kind, resourceful, and dedicated to what they do.
I volunteer for this nonprofit and am proud to be a dog foster for them. They will keep all their animals until they find their furever home.
Our family fostered "Coco" for two weeks, which turned into 2 years, at which time she passed away. I never had a pet growing up, but my husband had many. I was hesitant, but she quickly stole our hearts and was such a blessing to our family. Coco's Cupboard made the fostering process so easy for us. Their application process is extensive, but they made sure that we were a good fit. Six months after Coco's passing, and convinced that it would be a while before we even considered getting another dog, my daughter and I visited Coco's Cupboard's new facility, which was still a work in progress. There we met Huckleberry. He was a sweetheart in need of home. We knew immediately that he needed to join our family, which he did. We are so grateful to Coco's Cupboard for making the adoption process so easy, and for the support they have given us over the years. Their new facility provides boarding, and pets receive a great deal of attention. The staff on hand really wants to be there. It's a passion, not just a job, and the number of volunteers they have on board, and the number of hours they put in speaks volumes. They also have a thrift store which has quickly become one of the best in our area. The support Coco's receive from our community confirms the fact that they are well-respected and considered an extremely reputable business that people choose to support. Needless to say, we are huge fans of Coco's Cupboard.

We have fostered two dogs through Coco’s and both have been great experiences. Our first dog, Coco, passed away but brought so much joy to our family. Abt 6 months later we fostered and adopted Huckleberry, who has been another blessing. Coco’s has been just awesome and we can’t recommend them highly enough.
Amazing caring and loving! They understood my cat had to pick me.... it took days of visits for hours but they understood what I felt was important.
Coco’s brought a new dog into our lives after losing our two. The happiest moment ever. We didn’t think we wanted another one but we did. They are the most caring people in the world.
Cocos cupboard matched me with Beau, a golden doodle that was rescued by them. He has met all my needs as far as being my service dog (through their affiliate training program Tails of Hope) and has surpassed my expectations in general. They understand how to match their rescue dog with the right person to meet their specific needs. I’m forever grateful for them and the cause and will definitely recommend!
Amazing local rescue, they have helped us with dogs that have been dumped and them they have rehabed them. They do a lot for the veteran community as well!
We adopted our beagle through Cocos Cupboard. She was very timid but while at Coco's they loved her during her time there and started her road toward trusting others and now she's doing even better. Coco's volunteers and staff are truly committed to saving animals, and making a difference in our community by getting animals spayed/neutered/ vaccinated. They help families in need with food for their pets so they can keep them and help with medical expenses. Many of the dogs have basic obedience training before going to their adoptive home and their personalities have been assessed so they can be matched with their forever home. They turn the mistreated and unloved into the best members of our families!
Coco's Cupboard is absolutely Fantabulous!
This rescue goes above and beyond to help every kitty and doggie they come in contact with.
Their volunteers are always cheering each other on and routing for the "under dog/cat"
Coco's Cupboard is definitely One of a Kind, in a world full of negative, they

One Truly Amazing Organization!
Coco's does excellent work. Kind, caring, and do everything they can to help animals in need find good homes. Truly one of the best organizations out there.
I adopted one of my cat through Coco's and it was a great experience.
I adopted my little girl kitten from them and she’s the best. They are a great rescue I highly recommend and I would definitely adopt from them in the future.
Coco’s Cupboard is an incredible organization! Coco’s rescued a sweet 6-week-old pup that was left to fend for himself & a wonderful coco’s volunteer fostered the sweet pup for 5 months until i adopted him and began training him as a service dog! Coco’s Cupboard saved my life by rescuing and adopting out my special boy!
We just adopted the happiest little kitten that loves to cuddle. Coco’s does a great job getting them ready for their furever homes!
CoCo's Cupboard is fantastic. I had never met them before one night when I had a very sick cat who needed subQ fluids and all the vet offices were closed. CoCo's went out of their way to drive to the cat to administer medical care and try to save his life. They are truly an amazing group!
My boyfriend has been out of work two yrs due to medical issues. I am on disability, now he is as well.
He had been doing animal rescue. Coco's has been wonderful in helping to feed these babies! Now down to the few we are keeping. Coco's is still helping us!!
Have two of our fur babies from this organization! They are second to none when caring for the animals! I have come to love and respect this organization of people that have one mission…to save as many….for as long as it takes!
Coco’s is the most amazing family of animal-loving volunteers. There is so much love and support given to not only the adoptable pets, but also the adopters and fosters. I can’t say enough great things about Coco’s!!
Coco,s rescue my service dog Marley, without her I didn’t leave the house without my daughter. Now I’m free to live life again and get all the support from the wonderful volunteers. This group not only save dogs and cats it saves the human as well. Some of the kindest people you will ever meet.
This is one of the best non-profits I’ve ever known. Their employees whole-heartedly believe in the mission and are amazing people. We are so lucky to have them in our community!
Coco’s has done so much for us and our family! If it wasn’t for this amazing organization and their trainers our pup would have been lost. Our dog Levi went from a reactive nervous puppy to an amazing service dog to my disabled Army veteran husband. My husband, family, and dogs life was changed forever by this wonderful rescue!
Amazing folks, amazing organization that has given new lives to so many animals and just as many people.
I saw an older dog come into our county shelter and never saw any promotions for him to be adopted. Two months later, he showed up for foster to adopt at Coco’s cupboard. I leapt at the chance and am so happy with my “baby”.
I closely follow this charity and am so proud of the work they do in our community
Coco’s Cupboard Inc is an amazing not for profit Rescue! They taken rescues from shelters, owner surrenders, medical cases, and do absolutely everything they can to help every dog that comes to the rescue. Highly recommend getting a dog from them.

Coco's has come to more than one of our events to show their adoptable fur babies. They are awesome!
I worked the yard sales for Coco’s. This organization works so very hard to keep all pet healthy and in homes being forstered or adopted.
Coco’s Cupboard is the best nonprofit animal rescue organization I have ever encountered. We adopted our amazing dog, Gauge, from Coco’s and it was just a great, uplifting experience.
Professional, friendly, great staff.
I have volunteered with Coco's and met so many wonderful people. Everyone is professional, friendly, informative, organized, and easy to get along with. They are caring, loving people and do a lot for the puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats. The quality of care they give is outstanding and they help so many helpless animals in and around the community.
Coco's Cupboard has helped so many people who have needed help. They never turn away a request for help with Vaccines for dogs and cats. Helping people get food for their pets, who may not have enough money. Helping to stop overpopulation with the spay/neuter programs. Helping to train Service Dogs for our veterans and first responders.
Coco’s helped me find Wyatt after my dog died unexpectedly from cancer. They matched me with the perfect dog. If I could rate them higher I would!
Without Coco's Cupboard, we wouldn't have our Diesel. They saved his pregnant momma and she had a beautiful litter that they adopted out, along with finding her a forever home. I've been a CC fan for about 8 years, they do awesome things for animals and people!!
I’ve had the pleasure to volunteer and foster for Coco’s Cupboard for the past 4 years! Coco’s Cuoboard rescues the abandoned and saves the mistreated!! Last year I also became a client as my precious Champ became a foster fail!! We loved this boy so much, he became part of our family! I can’t say enough great things about Coco’s Cupboard and how they serve our community!!

Coco’s isn’t just a nonprofit, it’s a family. A family that has helped me gain the confidence to start the long journey of training my service dog.
Coco’s also takes abandoned, or unwanted dogs, and provides them the opportunity to become service dogs for people in need. Watching these formerly unwanted dogs transform into proud service dogs who faithfully serve the disabled is awesome!!
I’m proud to be a part of the Coco’s family!
Amazing people and volunteers! I care about where my support and donations go. Coco’s cupboard does amazing work and puts every penny to good work.
We do not have an open intake animal shelter in the rural county in which I live (Pike county, Georgia). Our shelter, which was only recently opened, only houses dangerous dogs. Overpopulation and dumping of pets are major problems in this area. Without Coco's taking in animals and adopting them out, offering low cost spay neuter surgeries and food donations for owners who need help, and providing education for pet owners in our area, these problems would be astronomical. I have fostered cats for Coco's in the past and witnessed first hand the helpless animals who would perish on the streets or die in a shelter if it weren't for Coco's. They are truly filling needs that our local government refuses to address, and they deserve all the help and recognition they can get!
Absolutely love them. They're obviously committed to the animals in their care, and they helped match me with my perfect pet. Thank you all so much!
This rescue takes on the hardest of cases many of whom never find their forever homes due to the level of their abuse and mistreatment. But Coco’s doesn’t let that stop them!!
The President is also an amazing dog trainer with the ability to help you find your perfect match. She helped me find mine! They also help with spay and neuter programs and have a pet food pantry!

Coco's Cupboard is an amazing organization that steps up to help not just dogs and cats in need but also our wounded veterans. They rehabilitate rescue dogs with extensive training and volunteer hours to get the ones who are best suited to serve as A.D.A. compliant service dogs assisting those who have given so much in service to our country. As a volunteer for this organization I am truly blessed to be a part of something so special. Coco's will also take in the dogs that no one else wants and they have been given up on and makes it their mission to save them. They have saved many dogs that were feral and while some may not ever find their forever homes within a family unit, they are happy, loved and well cared for within the Coco's "pack".
We just adopted a pup through Coco’s Cupboard. They go above and beyond making sure the pup is in the right home.
This rescue is fantastic, not only do they go above and beyond to help the animals but they also help the people by making sure that you get matched with a pet that completes your home.

This rescue is amazing, I’ve gotten a few dogs from them but they went above and beyond for my GSD Aurora, she was emaciated and had gone through heartworm treatment when they had her, due to the restrictions that the treatment and the drive of a GSD and was a little wild and hard to handle but they never called it quits on her, after having her for a year I needed a service dog for medical reasons and they stepped up to help me achieve that with her... for those reasons I have started fostering and volunteering with them whenever possible
Coco’s Cupboard is a phenomenal organization! It’s ran mostly by volunteers who are passionate about saving and caring for abandoned animals in the community and many times beyond! But they take it a step further and provide foster care, basic obedience training to dogs, and even evaluate and educate eligible dogs for service work. I’m proud to be a part of Coco’s incredible community and help it achieve its mission!
Coco’s Cupboard has been beyond phenomenal with helping me find my perfect best friend. Taco, a 17 month old Doberman is now my service dog in training thanks to the perfect pairing of Susanne.
I’m grateful beyond words.
I have been with Coco’s Cupboard for six years now. They have literally changed my life for the better! Not only did I adopt an amazing dog from them named Bonnie. She is a Minpin Chihuahua mix. I have also learned how to train the rest of my dogs and others for Cocos so that these dogs can go on to live their best lives and to help there Owners live their best lives. That’s awesome group of volunteers will stop at nothing to help dogs cats and people. I have never met more loving group of people. Help us to help others even more by donating Cocos cupboard.

They have so many amazing volunteers who give endlessly their time and resources just to see these amazing animals find their forever homes. So very grateful for Cocos Cupboard! Where do I even begin? Coco's cupboard has been so amazing to our family. Without the help and support of this organization my daughter would not have her amazing service dog. The staff make themselves available for all these animals and people and without what they do there would be a lot less happiness in our community. Coco's cupboard isn't just a rescue or just an organization, it's a family and community and Neverending support!
My family fostered for Cocos’s Cupboard I feel in love with their passion and mission. I am now a active volunteer and love it. We even Foster failed on a pup

I had the privilege of watching a young friend adopt her very own first dog from Cocos Cupboard. She had a great experience with good communication and was provided a wealth of educational information on how to care for her new companion Otis. It was a joy to witness the time and compassion Cocos gave my anxious friend.
We rescued a puppy German Shepherd from Coco's Cupboard. They have been amazing! The support, training, and total support for adding to our family. I highly recommend Coco's Cupboard to everyone!

I’ve been with Coco’s Cupboard almost 2 years now and the most wonderful, caring people I’ve ever met.
I got my precious Jasper from Coco’s which happen to be feral. We attend the training classes, service dog classes and he is now my service dog. I couldn’t of had done it without the help of all the volunteers and the coaches.
Now I started volunteering with some of Coco’s fund raising and I’m really enjoying just being with all the other volunteers.
Coco’s has a wonderful volunteer family.
Everyone works great together and that’s what it takes to make it work. ❤️
Coco’s is absolutely amazing. They always do whatever they can to adopt to the absolute best home for the animal, with both the humans and animals’ needs in mind. They always try to match up for furever homes and it has done wonders! Hundreds to thousands of animals saved all because of these amazing people!
Such an amazing place run by volunteers. Amazing people who have done amazing things. The dogs are always put first with Coco's. I adopted my sweet girl Bri-Anna and Coco's has also started training me and my girl for service training. So very thankful!
I have been involved with Coco's Cupboard for four years and they are a great rescue. It started with them helping me train a rather active dog I was fostering for another rescue. We were this pup's last hope. He is now a service dog for a veteran. I have seen them transform the hardest of cases into healthy and loving pups and placed in loving homes. They have a group of awesome volunteers who work non stop to help every pup and kitty they can.
Coco's Cupboard is a fantastic organization! Run by volunteers, this organization saves hundreds of dogs and cats. Volunteers give their heart and soul to the animals they serve. Not only do volunteers save abandoned animals, they love the animals and prepare them for their forever homes. Coco's puts the animals first; egos are not an issue here. Highly recomend volunteering at Coco's or adopting a dog or cat from them!
This place will lie to you. We applied to adopt a dog in foster. Did the phone interview, home visit, etc. Horrible communication. At the end I get a sob story about the foster family's dog dying and now they wanted to keep the foster dog. Jump ahead a couple weeks and I come across the foster mom posting pics of her foster dog available for adoption. Why the lie? All they had to say was no, you're not a good fit. Very shady.
A year ago today, Coco’s Cupboard took in the first three of the The Metter 6 (the other three were picked up two days later) from a horrific hoarding case in South Georgia. They took in these dogs knowing that most, if not all, would have emotional issues to some degree and that some may have health issues and that they would be with the rescue long term. Coco’s doesn’t just take in rescues and turn around and try to get them into knew homes as soon as possible. They put a lot of time and energy into making sure these animals are rehabbed and ready for life in a home. As of today, only two have been adopted and two more are ready to find their forever homes. One, will probably live the rest of his life with the rescue. You will never meet a more dedicated group of people with such amazing hearts. I love fostering for Coco’s Cupboard.

I am so amazed by the time, energy and love that the people of Coco's Cupboard give to these animals. The rescuing, the care, the vetting, the training to become service dogs for veterans, the adoption events, the raising of funds...You can’t ask for a better organization to foster for, donate to, or adopt from.
I have adopted both my dogs from Coco’s Cupboard. I foster and donate whenever I can for them. They are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. They also have a Facebook group for adopters to link together with them. We can share updates on our dogs or get advice if needed too. It’s a wonderful support group. Coco’s Cupboard mission is dear to my heart.
Our family adopted a dog from Coco's Cupboard this past spring 2019. They (Coco's Cupboard) have a very thorough vetting application process. We had requested to adopt a different dog but the adoption team did a good job explaining why it wasn't a great dog for our family. They suggested other dogs and after we met them we truly got the best one!
I love coco's cupboard. They are a wonderful rescue. We adopted our sweet Mr Clayton from them. They work so hard and do a great job with cats, dogs, and dogs for veterans. We are happy to donate and be just a tiny assistance to them.
I donate to Cocos because they have rescued countless helpless dogs and cats from my local animal shelter. I have too many dogs to allow me to adopt so I donate to support this rescue because I trust them!
Coco's Cupboard is an Amazing group of volunteers who give so generously of themselves to help not only the animals but also the community. Coco's offers a Pet food bank, help with low cost spay and neuter programs and low cost shots.
Cocos Cupboard also works closely with other organizations to help educate children and adults about responsible pet ownership.
Coco's also has a group of volunteers who donate there time to help train the foster dogs to become Service dogs for our Veterans.
I received my service dog, battle, from Coco,s cupboard. He saved my life and they saved his. I can't thank them enough.
Jayne Midura. I became involved with Cocos after working with a professional dog trainer who was helping get this group up & running. That’s was 2012 & this organization has grown by leaps & bounds every year since. Our rural county finally has a full-time ACO with equipment; I’d like to think Cocos played a part in that becoming a reality after speaking at numerous county commission meetings. There still is no shelter, which is badly needed, as there are still abandoned animals discovered regularly BUT, because of Coco’s spay/neuter efforts, education on animal welfare, & grit & determination to save as many animals as possible, we’re seeing a reduction in abandoned dogs & cats. This is a small organization with a gigantic heart, fully run by amazing volunteers who give tirelessly of their time & talents. I’m proud to promote Cocos Cupboard wherever I go!
I started volunteering with Coco's Cupboard a few years ago, fostering 2 little kittens. What I thought was a way to help local animals in need proved to be so much more!! I can not even tell you how fulfilling it is to know I've made a real difference to these sweet kitties, big and small, young and old. I honestly can not even tell. you how many have come through the doors of our home to date (I'd have to go back through pictures for that) but each and every one has made an impact on us. As the saying goes, Who rescued who? What's just as wonderful is the close knit group of like minded and kindred souls I have met along the way who understand how important it is to help these voiceless animals. Whether it be a case of abandonment, neglect, relenquishment, abuse, or a caring citizen helping out strays, every single one of these animals deserves a loving home with a family that can no longer imagine life without their new fur baby. I have seen lives literally pulled from deaths grip by volunteers much more experienced than myself and watch these cats go on to live a life they never knew possible. I have seen the cat, or dog, that cowarded at the thought of being touched by a human now curled up on a lap and purring contently. I have seen animals that once fought for every morsel walk away from dishes with food still remaining because they now know they can count on being fed again later that day. It is an amazing process to witness and, even more so, be a part of the solution. I love that my children are growing up surrounded by this unconditional love and learning life lessons of how to help God's creatures learn to trust again and be given a second chance. I hope those are lessons they take with them through life and realize it does not only apply to cats and dogs. While I am not involved with the dog side, I am in complete and utter awe of the amazing turnarounds I read about and see in these gentle animals, all because a small group of people care and believe in these often broken souls. I also see how much our community has benefitted from Coco's Cupboard and how now they turn to us for help. I see the comments on Facebook where adopters encourage others to visit our site or stop by an adoption event because they know first hand how dedicated each and every volunteer is to these sweet babies. And I see the tears in other volunteers eyes and feel them stinging my own when we watch one of our kitties leave us and start their new life with their new family. To say it's a rewarding experience is an understatement. I truly feel blessed to have become a part of the Coco's family!!
Many reviewers can write about the numbers of pets Coco's has rescued, fixed, trained and even transformed into service dogs; it is an astonishing record for such a small group of people. But perhaps no one else will think to write about the changes in our community. I remember Pike County before 2010, the year Coco's was started with the original intent of just helping pets stay with their people. Families in financial difficulty would apply for help with pet food, flea meds, and spay/neuter surgery. Modest goals for a county with out-sized needs. Pike County did not have a shelter and voters were not likely to change that even though a woman had been killed by roaming dogs in her own yard. A culture that does not value a shelter is also a culture that doesn't value population control for pets. So in 2010 Pike County's roadsides were the dumping ground for unwanted litters. Dumped dogs that survived formed dangerous packs endangering livestock, pets and people. In those nine years since Coco's started, Pike still hasn't progressed to voting for a shelter, but thanks to Coco's spay/neuter efforts abandoned pets are rare now instead of the norm. Most importantly, because of Coco's educational efforts the next generation is growing up aware of pet-owner responsibility that includes not only fixing their pets but training them to be good citizens. Coco's is accomplishing more than anyone dreamed of back in 2010. Sure, there are still litters tossed out of moving pick up trucks, but not as many as there used to be. Most importantly, those acts of inhumane violence now provoke outrage. Hearts and minds are changing thanks to Coco's Cupboard and that's just the start.
I learned about Coco's while volunteering for the organization that provides service dogs to veterans. Coco's trains those dogs. By taking in a foster, I've been able to see the love and care that goes into the training and especially the proper matching of dogs and their future people.
I started working with this organization about 2 years ago. They are truly some of the best people I've met. Some of them have become my best friends. I was lucky enough to receive a Coco's dog. That dog has become my Service Dog.
Coco’s saves the life of my very foster dog. My first foster was a handful and about to be euthanized by the previous rescue that had him. I didn’t know how to deal with very active dogs. He soon got into a fight with one of my dogs and I was injured. My husband says he had to go. I reached out to Coco’s and they took him in because Coco’s takes in the very difficult cases. They worked with this precious pup and now he’s a loved and loyal service dog to a verteran. Coco’s helped save two lives.
I’ve been a volunteer with Coco’s Cupboard for over a year now, and I’ve bever seen a group of people more devoted to the pursuit of a single cause — the rescue of abandoned dogs and cats. I am particularly moved by the group’s work in developing abandoned dogs into service animals for deserving veterans and civilians. I have the privelege to see 2 lives saved in each of these situations, and I can tell you that’s changed my life. I LOVE this goup, and the people who bring its vision to reality!
Suzanne and her team knew exactly which short-term foster puppy would fit perfectly with me and my dog, and set me up to foster fail! :) Couldn't be happier. Their dedication to the animals they find or are asked to help is astounding.
Thank you Coco’s Cupboard for bringing Lulu into our lives.

1.) This group of people work tirelessly to save animals from all walks of life. Whatever you're looking for, trust me.. they can help you find.
2.) This is, perhaps, the most important. They rely on foster families, which makes all the difference with a rescue animal. If you're interested in an animal, there's not just 1 person, but an entire team that knows them inside & out. They've been socializing them, training them, and working through their quirks (we all have them), before you even enter the picture.
3.) Once you get your new furry family member home, you'll be invited to a special board for families of Coco's rescues. There, you'll find a community of support & information to help you through anything. There's even a handful of amazing families that all adopted a pup from a litter that get together for play dates. I just love the camaraderie. You cant find it anywhere else!!
Coco's was founded to assist both companion animals and humans in a county with no shelter and essentially no animal control or resources. Since the organization began, hundreds of spay and neuter surgeries have been sponsored, hundreds of abandoned animals taken in and adopted to loving homes. Citizens of Pike County Georgia have received support in any areas. This organization is small but devoted and truly cares about the animals and people they serve.

While we understand your disappointment in not being able to adopt the dog applied for. We spoke with you many times how the dog you applied for wouldn’t be a good fit for many reasons. During our home inspection we found a sick cat that wasn’t on your application or getting medical care. Instead of denying you, we were attempting to work on educating you waiting for proof the cat had gotten medical attention. During this time, the foster family was devastated by the loss of their dog & considered adopting. We asked them to take time to grieve and they chose not to adopt. We feel the time frame was quick for a rescue; your app was received on 12/28/19, & on 1/7/2020 you were told we would search for another dog. We are sorry you feel our communication was inadequate & from your review here and on other social media platforms, we can see you are still dissatisfied. We understand how personal a denial can be, but we do our best to honor the best interests of the animals in our care.
