Mission: The purpose of coastal family health center, inc. Is to provide quality health care and social services to all persons regardless of economic status with the understanding that the term health is an inclusive one that seeks to improve the quality of life for the whole community.
Programs: Medical services - providing high quality medical services primarily to the uninsured and the under-insured is one of our primary exempt purposes. During 2017, our organization had 107,206 patient medical appointments for various medical conditions which were seen by family physicians or physician assistants, internists, pediatricians, or nurse practitioners. These appointments involved a total of 34,400 of our patients.
hiv services - our organization provided, on an outpatient basis, high-quality early intervention services and primary care related to hiv patients. We provided a continuum of hiv preventions for at-risk individuals who are hiv-infected. During 2017, we provided these services to approximately 450 such patients, who had a cumulative total of approximately 2,500 appointments.
340b drug program - our organization also provides pharmacy drugs to many of our patients through the federal 340b drug program. During 2017, we filled approximately 115,427 pharmacy prescriptions through 38 participating local contracted pharmacies.
in addition to the services shown in part iii, items a through c, our organization provides dental, mental health, lab, nutrition, patient transportation, ob/gyn, optometry, and other ancillary services to our total patient count of approximately 34,400.
