We have been a licensed foster family for over 20 years, and the Coalition for Children Youth and Families has been along side us the entire time! From representation on state committees to help support statewide training for foster families, to ongoing training opportunities offered in various modalities. We've accessed the lending library and the tip sheets - great resources. I've also appreciated the personal interactions when needed - they are only a phone call away. Always available with a listening ear, and resources if needed. As a mentor to new foster families, I always encourage they become familiar with the Coalition - an organization that truly helps to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

The Coalition for Children, Youth, and Families is a great non-profit organization. The information they provide helps us all better understand the needs of the children we provide care for. The Coalition for Children Youth and Family has been a leader in supporting foster parents and now will be actively working with relative caregivers too. They are a wonderful resource that I turn to time and time again. Their trainings are timely, socially now and address the issues that we are facing with children in out of home care. I first became involved with the Coalition in 2021 and, after seeing the impactful work the organization has done for those touched by foster care, adoption, and kingship care, decided to further my engagement as a member of the event planning committee. The Coalition has built such a strong foundation for foster and adoptive families by making resources, learning opportunities, and safe spaces for families to connect easily accessible.
I’m inspired every day by the compassion of each member of the organization and their dedication to representing, supporting, and advocating for the children, youth, and families they serve.
I began supporting the Coalition a few years ago and it would be difficult to find a group of people more passionate about their mission. They provide support to children and families in the most challenging circumstances and are a force multiplier through their education and empowerment of foster families to thrive.

2022 has been a hard year for me personally. We have had challenges with respect to one of our adopted sons in the past, but those challenges were escalated this year. The Coalition for Children, Youth, and Families is the only resource center in the state that is dedicated to understanding and responding to the unique needs of families impacted by foster care and adoption. Their team works hard to listen to each family's challenges and then puts together a response and list of resources tailored for that particular family! Even if they don't immediately know the answer they will do all the hard work to find it!
As a paralegal working in the area of children's law for over 46 years, I give the Coalition for Children, Youth and Families a 5+ star rating for being outstanding in every category from providing resources to educational workshops to families and individuals who are affected by foster care and adoption. The staff and professionals at the Coalition are trained and are very skilled to assist in providing the tools needed to equip families to grow and succeed. Every Child Needs a Champion. Every Champion Needs Support. This is the foundation of CCYFs mission, and it holds true whether your family has been touched by foster care, adoption, kinship care, or if as an adult the children in your life have experienced the trials, trauma or setbacks that are common today. As a member of the Board of Directors over the last three years, I have continued to be amazed by the quality of support provided by CCYF and the impact that our programming makes in the lives of those that take advantage of it. Now more than ever, there is a need for an organization such as CCYF, serving as a powerful resource to foster hope and resiliency.
