Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: The coalition for at-risk youth exists to conduct various programs and activities designed to foster and improve the personal development, educational opportunities and life skills of at-risk youth through focused programs and initiatives.
Programs: Pro bono dermatology and medical clinics - we conduct dermatologic clinics in foster group homes, homeless shelters, and after school programs for high-school students. We have partnered with local nonprofit organzations such as the dream catcher foundation, value schools, and my friend's place to provide monthly dermatology clinics for their respective populations. Our dermatology team provides ongoing care at no cost. All medications are included in our pro bono services.
social skills programs and scholarships - social skills are essential for long-term success. Our social skills program offers etiquette classes on manners, dinng etiquette, grooming, and appropriate conversation, to name a few. We have successfully taught these classes to more than 300 youth.
annual summer camp - in the past, carry has supported camp upac-carry, an annual week long summer camp in big bear for over 300 at-risk youth (ages 6-17) with united peace officers against crime (upac), a division of the los angeles sheriff's department.
