Co-Hoots is an amazing concept with a great mission. I attended the Sales Force pro-bono week event hosted at Co-Hoots, and my organization enjoyed the opportunity to meet with professionals. In the end, it was a very beneficial event, but there was a slight lack in communication. Just be prepared to be in contact with both parties in order to maximize your time. However, Co-hoots helped in any way they could when it came to the miscommunication errors. All in all, it was a great facility!
Just wanted to send a quick thank you for your help in organizing the non-profit event today! Feel incredibly fortunate to have a chance to come today. It's crazy -- today was one of those crazy days where I woke up at 4am phoenix time, huge flight / work call and now I'm more energized than I've been in a very long time. Amazing that so many amazing nonprofits are doing such amazing work, great stuff.
Anyway I feel so fortunate to know you, please keep on doing what you're doing!! The world's a better place for it :)

The Co+ foundation regularly partners with us to bring the programming event we run (CodeDay) to students in the Phoenix area and they do an absolutely excellent job at it. Out of 38 US cities, our Phoenix events are regularly the largest, most diverse, and generally best-run events, and that's entirely due to the work of the team at the Co+ Foundation.
I am IN LOVe with Co+ Foundation & the folks that make it all happen. Most recently, I am involved with the non-profit ninja group... we just recently began our success lab meetings, and my mind is already blown!! I am the founder of a brand new NP in the Valley & I have been attending meetings, conferences, workshops, & informs to soak up as much info as I can.
Although everything I have experienced has been wonderful, the NP Ninja group is ACTION oriented, which is exactly what I needed. Not only are we talking about the ins & outs of the NP world as it relates to smaller organizations, we are identifying specific needs in each of our lives, creating solutions, and making magic happen. This is the FIRST opportunity I have found that gives me the support, education, & accountability I need to make my organization flourish.
Additionally, the support that pro-bono week has given to us is remarkable. We are all aware of the "pro-bono" world, but actually making those connections has been difficult.... until I got involved with Co+ Foundation. I am forever grateful for the knowledge, support, & networking that CF has provided.... this has definitely been one of the best programs I have ever been affiliated with. Kristin, specifically, is the person with whom I have the most contact... she truly makes what sometimes seem impossible, simple.... and I love her for that!
I run a small nonprofit here in Phoenix, and have benefitted time and again from what CO Foundation is bringing to the scene, including participating in Creatathon this year, and all the Pro Bono Week workshops last year and this year. At Creatathon we got a brand new website, in 24 hours! The value of pro-bono service for a small nonprofit literally cannot be stated in terms of money saved or product added, it completely transforms the trajectory of where that nonprofit is going and the impact they're able to make in the community.
CO+ Foundation is literally changing the game. Bringing pro-bono service to the forefront, and contributing to the growth and development of a burgeoning nonprofit sector here in Phoenix. Not just with professionalism - but with the heart, soul and passion that define the ladies who built this foundation and everything it stands for.
I have been around pro bono service my whole life and i've honestly never seen such a giving, kind hearted organization down to it's core. I love giving my time to and service to the Co+ Foundation because I know that it's going towards a bigger global cause of helping young entrepreneurs and thinkers have the resources they need to tap their talent early.
I heard of Co+Foundation around the time they hosted the first CodeDay Phoenix. It sounded like a great idea, and all of the CodeDay Phoenix events they have hosted have surpassed the expectation of all involved. In fact, the third was the largest in the nation exceeding the registrations and attendance of San Francisco, Seattle, New York, et al.
One of the keys to the success of CodeDay Phoenix is its relentless focus on diversity, inviting any and all students who wish to attend. Even students who cannot afford the $10 fee and do not have a computer have been able to attend and participate due to Kristin's efforts and the generosity of local Phoenix area companies who have sponsored students and provided computers for them to use.
CodeDay Phoenix continues to grow under Co+Foundation's care, not just in size but in diversity of both participants and subject mater areas covered during the event. The goal of 50/50 attendance of boys and girls is easily within reach based on 40% attendance by girls in past CodeDay Phoenix events. Students are also learning more about all the areas the computer industry has to offer as the cyber security track joins IoT and the traditional CodeDay apps and games track.
What amazes me is that CodeDay Phoenix is a single event under one of the four initiatives of Co+Foundation. Kristin, the Co+Foundation staff, and the volunteers have an abundance of expertise and dedication which is being poured directly into the community, locally and also globally via their Co+Exchanges initiative. Volunteering with or sponsoring Co+Foundation is one of the most powerful ways to bring positive change to the world.
I've had experience in working with Kristin Romaine and the Co+Foundation during Pro Bono Week. Her expertise and reach in both the co-working and nonprofit space are incredible. Her ability to bring incredibly diverse communities together is a gift. Phoenix is a fortunate community to have the CO+ Foundation so dedicated to increasing the capacity of the nonprofit sector.
The Co+Hoots Foundation invited me to Phoenix in order to inspire their co-working community, and the citizens of Phoenix at large, to engage in pro-bono work. While there, not only was I treated like a prince, I was also incredibly impressed by the work that their foundation does on a day-to-day basis. The Co+Hoots Foundation team works tirelessly to engage the greater community of Phoenix, and is quickly becoming a household name in Arizona as the hub for all things good, and innovative. I can't recommend this organization enough!

CO-HOOTS is providing amazing support for the Nonprofits in Arizona, particularly within Maricopa County. Their instrumental work at ensuring all the nonprofits in our area had an opportunity to participate in the first ever Pro Bono week in Arizona was enlightening, informative and extremely helpful to us all. I am so grateful that I stumbled upon CO+HOOTS & attended pro bono week. I am the President of an organization in its very early stages, and I was researching how to get interns on Sunday when I found CO+HOOTS and attended their workshop the next day. Although CO+HOOTS can be valuable resource to help take our organization to the next level, they pointed us to a resource that can be even more valuable. The utilization of skilled volunteers is going to be crucial to take our organization to the next level. CO+HOOTS has absolutely revolutionized the non-profit and entrepreneurial community in Phoenix, Arizona. The Pro Bono week that they launched this fall has been absolutely amazing with some of the top specialists in several fields donating their time to help non-profit organizations. Where we used to have a lot of great non-profits working on hard issues alone in their own sphere, CO+HOOTS has brought everyone together so that we are all now partners working on hard issues TOGETHER with the support and collaboration of the corporate world, small businesses and like-minded individuals. We are a small and growing non-profit animal rescue organization called Caring for Canines and we rescue dogs that are abandoned or on the euthanasia list and find them loving homes. We have been around for 20 years but just recently, thanks to the efforts of CO+HOOTS, we have doubled our capacity and ability to rescue dogs as well as to educate and inform the public on the issues of pet overpopulation. The impact that CO+HOOTS and their efforts like Pro Bono week has made on Caring for Canines, the non-profit world and the entrepreneurial community in Phoenix will be seen for years and years to come.
