Avoid this club—it will be a decision you regret. The club director's limited experience includes only coaching a lower-ranked junior varsity high school team, and they don’t thoroughly vet their coaching staff. Many coaches are simply parents seeking a fee discount, lacking the skills to effectively develop players. Practices are repetitive, using the same drills each time with little to no focus on player improvement or constructive feedback. Unfortunately, some coaches have even displayed verbally abusive behavior. For example, a former coach allowed her 14-year-old daughter, the assistant, to lead the team, who frequently criticized the girls, claiming they "put in no effort" and berating them after practices, saying they looked "like they just sit on the couch eating chips and ice cream." When her daughter wasn’t available, the head coach struggled with basic rotations at tournaments, leading to embarrassing moments. Coaches at tournaments often sit on the sidelines with frustrated expressions, while players aren’t even allowed a break to sit down. The club also seems to play favorites based on volunteering or personal connections, not skill level, so some players go unnoticed and underappreciated. After two years here, we moved to a new club where my daughter earned a spot on a power team, playing up a level—a true testament to her abilities finally being recognized.

If you are planning on getting your daughter in to this club, please read the prior reviews. I am planning on making one but the reviews about this club are all accurate. There are strong warnings from other parents who had to endure joining this club. So, save yourself and your daughter from a very bad experiences you and your daughter will remember for life. Just avoid this club. Bad is an understatement.

I used to say this club is ok for beginners. But, holy cow! How this club has changed. No quality coaches! Bad coaching skills! They are woke as hell! Coaches are not real coaches. They hire and rehire fired and abusive coaches. Some coaches are dad's who coach their own daughters and get all the playtime. Don't waste your time and money and don't introduce your daughter to very bad culture. Most of the girls who stayed with club solano until 18s end up in community colleges. Those who made it to Division I or II Universities left for better clubs early and never looked back to this very bad experience. Most if not all of the reviews here are not in favor of the club so I tried looking for positive reviews, I can't find one. THIS CLUB IS TRASH!

Terrible coaching. All of the coaches are very rude and verbally abusive. One in particular doesn’t listen to logic, and yells and cusses at specific players on the team for mistakes they make not only on the court, but off as well. She doesn’t listen to the reasoning of why the mistake was made, even if it makes perfect sense and was the right decision. The coaches act like grown up babies and throw tantrums to their players like they are the same age as them. It is despicable.

This club competes at American and/or Liberty divisions during out of state tournaments. For all the parents who does not know about these divisions, if you have a daughter competing in these divisions and your daughter is in 17s team or 18s team, your daughter will NEVER as in NEVER will be seen by college recruiters. Why? you may ask. Because Club Solano is actually a premiere club pretending to be a power club. If you want your daughter to play for college and get a lucrative offers from universities and big colleges, your daughter's volleyball club should be able to play in the Open Division. Something club solano does not even consider on joining. Why? Because they can't win even in the lowest divisions (American/Liberty). That is how low this club is. It is a waste of money and precious time signing your daughter up to this club. I used to coach high school boys varsity volleyball and I know what I am taking about. The coaches at club solano are terrible to say the least, I think they are described more in the other reviews on this club, please take some time to read them because they are on point, true and accurate coming from parents who had experiences with this club. Nobody who left this club left a good word to support this club, and for those who stayed, they are still hoping for one day they get noticed by a university or college recruiter. Big volleyball clubs can be pricey, I get that but you get top training from legit coaches with lots of experience and takes their teams to Open Division to compete/qualify for a bid. They also get a lot of exposures from college and university recruiters. My daughter is in 18s team right now and she got 8 offers so far. When she was in 17s team she got 11 offers. My daughter will probably commit to University of Arizona because all of my family's there. So, good luck if you still want to sign your daughter up to this club despite NO positive reviews made for this club anywhere online.

I have a daughter currently in this club right now. We are contemplating of pulling my daughter out of this horrible club. We actually don't mind if my daughter will miss this season if it mean getting my daughter out of that loser club. Sorry, I can't stop myself from saying all negative about this club. The coaching was really really really BAD! All the coaches have their own favorites and it's usually the tallest and weakest player. I don't know why? The coaches are ALL verbally abusive. the club director was corrupt! Some coaches got fired for drinking while on the job. Guess what? He's still there! Be careful with some parents because they are very close to the director and they act like spies just listening to your conversation and reports directly to the coach or director to discredit you or your daughter. So, I agree 100% with all the previous reviews on this club. Your daughter will learn bad attitudes, disrespect and mischief. So yes, don't even think of going to this club, not even for their clinics. BAD! BAD! BAD!

Club Solano AKA Club Injury is not worth your time. There are several other clubs in the area. Your player will not be doing any conditioning. during practices, they will just drill, drill, drill. Every season we played, players on our team and several others had surgeries and long term injuries. This is important if your hope is to have your player make the High School Team. Most coaches are not well versed in proper techniques and several are very verbally abusive. Several were fired for this reason and then brought back. The Administrator, Coach Wayne is all about the money. And if you complain AT ALL, plan on seeing your player on the bench all season. Many of the coaches are parents, so plan on seeing lots of favortism. If you want a safe, positive experience, go to another club. Not worth it at all.

My daughter is currently in this club right now and all I can say is, this is the worst volleyball club you can find in the bay area. They are the cheapest and it's because they don't provide good quality training. It's true, most of the coaches are volleyball dads and moms who learned volleyball mostly by watching their kids play volleyball. It's sad that these parent coaches are just making it, teaching kids what they learned by observation. My brother is a NCAA coach in Florida and he was here when we had a tournament/scrimmage at Fresno last weekend and my brother can't believe how the players are taught wrong volleyball skills. The setters are the most unfortunate as they are setting like they are in premier teams. The tall hitters failed to learn proper hitting techniques because the instructions were so bad. Yes, there are parent coaches whose daughter play in the same team they are coaching. SO guess who gets most of the play time? I am getting my daughter out of this club as soon as this season is over. I hear Xcel is a great alternative and is not tool far if you live in Fairfield/Suisun areas. Good luck!

My daughters played for Club Solano and the club was ghetto AF. The parents in one team I know for sure smokes Marijuana and drinks alcohol during tournaments and practices. Their coach smokes vape secretly during tournaments and yells to his athletes for smallest of error or none at all while his favorites can make all the major errors and he would just ignore them like nothing. Oh, this coach has a daughter who plays for the team he's coaching and he does everything to make sure his daughter doesn't go out during games even though his daughter is inadequate as a hitter. Just saying. My other daughter played for Wayne and he just pay attention to tall players regardless of their skills. So if you have short daughter, get ready for less play time and attention. This club is the worst.

If your daughter is not tall and loves to play volleyball DO NOT bring your daughter to this club to try out or attend clinics. This club plays favorite BIG TIME! I know because my daughter played for this club and our experience was horrible. Your daughter will not develop self esteem here but rather learn to cuss/curse like ghetto taking about sex and boys all the time. The director was the worse. He's only in it for the money. It's his retirement. The coaches are not good coaches at all. Most of them are parents of volleyball players who learned volleyball from watching their daughters play. They don't have their own practice facility. Hence your daughter will jump from one gym to the next in different locations for 1.5 hr of practice twice a week even though they promise 3 practices a week. If you're daughter is 13 years old and above FORGET about this club because they never win in tournaments against other legit volleyball Clubs. They will ignore your child pay attention to tall players even though they don't know how to play. If you don't believe me, please sign your daughter up and find out for your self. Have a great day and take your volleyball loving daughter somewhere else. VEX, FIVESTARZ are even better choices than club solano. If you have a tall daughter who can play, take her somewhere else. Your daughter has no volleyball future here. They don't help and knows nothing about scholarships and your daughter will end up late in her skills and can't keep up with other club players who were trained well. Yes I'm bitter about this club and there's a lot of us parents who made this bad decision joining this club. So make your choice. Just a warning.

My daughters tried out for this club. While we were there we were given information indicating a price of $800 per kid. About a week later was signing night. When we went to sign up, we found out that a few days prior (but after tryouts), they had nearly doubled the price to $1500 per kid. It's absolutely ridiculous to have all these kids tryout, only to pull the rug out from under them like that. Very unprofessional, and horribly disorganized.

An email to the organization about this, did not garner any response either.
