DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE! I am a 13 year experienced Vet Tech and was looking to adopt a puppy. As soon as I got approved Tanja Schoor wanted to know when I could come get it. I had a few meet and greets set up and one was set with this rescue and planned to make sure it was the right fit for the family. Tanja Schoor was telling others that she would have an answer if the pup had a home or not the day I was planning to meet it which I had already mentioned I wasn’t in a rush due to family dog just passing and I have others to meet. But because I was “ undecided “ at the time due to wanting to make sure I found the right fit for the family she went ahead and canceled my meet and greet and let the others take it. Tanja Schoor is just for giving away animals just to get rid of them and not making sure they’re going to a good home and being taking care of with the best care. This is how animals end up in bad situations.

I always had cats growing up, but my last one was lost to old age when my oldest child was 5. At the time, I had two toddlers, and my hands were full. 10 years later, with two teenagers, I wanted a fuzzy baby to snuggle and love. I found a darling, tiny tortie on Petfinder, and applied to bring her home.

Clover cat was quick to respond to my questions and application. Tonja was not only so knowledgeable, but her love of animals, not just cats, is obvious as soon as you meet her. I came to pick up our new furbaby, and was greeted by cats, dogs, and horses, with the baaing of goats and or sheep not far away. Clover Cat Rescue is an animal paradise, with rolling hills, acres? of space, and far enough from traffic for all of them to roam freely in safety.

A week later, our sweet kitty-girl was coming into her tortitude, and none of us could get enough of her. We decided she could use some help keeping 3 laps warm, so I contacted Tonja about our kitten's brother. The next day, brother and sister were reunited. As I write this, both healthy kittens are gleefully chasing each other around our house.

Granted, I fell for the first kitten's photo on Petfinder, partly because I was looking for a tortie that reminded me of a childhood love, but I live in Greensboro. There is no shortage of rescues or pet stores within a 5 to 10 minute drive of my home. I could've found a companion for that kitten so much closer to home, but even if it hadn't been her brother, I would've gone back to Clover Cat. This rescue is sincere love, and I would (and have) recommend it to anyone looking for a purry family member or a good cause to support.

If you're looking for a purry-furry, you'll find him or her here. If you're not, consider a donation of money, food, or whatever support you can give. They deserve it. It will go toward caring for animals that deserve love, not salaries or facilities or advertising. This place is real deal grass roots saving innocent animals that need love and care. Some are healthy babies, others are down on their luck cats that need medical help, or just a second chance. There was a grown cat "surrendered for biting" that climbed into my son's lap and purred until Tonja picked him up for us to leave. He was a sweet cat that was probably misunderstood until he found himself at Clover Cat. Now he's safe and has a chance at the love that every furry deserves.

Thank you for our sweet, beautiful babies!
