I am 65 and have no family to help me and have no car and no way to get to drs office or grocery store or anyway. I go to the senior center and have 1 person there that can take me places once in a while. But when they passed out a schedule and fee rate from climb up at the center, i thought thats great. Finally i can have help to go places. A taxi from Saltillo to Walmarts rd trip is $16 and to my dr and back is $40. And that i do not have. So when my friend couldn't take me to my doctor one day i called Climb up and managed to make an appointment and was so happy. This was my first time using them and the driver was very nice and very good. On time for my appointment and had to make an extra stop at the pharmacy on the way home. Everthing was wonderful and was so glad i had finally found what i needed. Then last week i called in advance for another drs appointment and was informed that the board had made a decision that they are no longer going to pick up anybody that is not in the lifecore program, starting at the end of the month. That was a very bad decision. So now i am back to no transportation again and i have no ideal what to do. I am very disappointed in thier board. I thought they were helping people. Now they are helping nobody! Its not like they were really busy. The day i went, i was the only one on the van. and they were going to charge me almost nothing but i refused and paid them $10 cause it was worth it to me.
