I'll explain what the situation is. There's missing things from my view and senses because of discrimination in certain areas, learning or commuting communication help and students areas also sometimes its difficult to get out and or to afford proper services, therapies or and add law cases on for an approval to go through for me, in order for me to get counted and for me to be included. There's so much walking I've been through also. The back areas has our(human being) senses through our muscles bones and the vertebral column areas, and when it gets or got sprained or an other type of hit or blow from fighting or when accidents and wear and tear from overusing happened through an path where so much information travels through out to the thought centers, any injury or act or movement begins to affect my or the visual and ear areas. This gave me an slightest deficiency in sensing and feeling things properly from all around and from and through the environment, so it's not the same as it had been all of my life. I may need to learn sign language or and braille, because of these type if spiritual or and paranormal mishaps types of illnesses or interfering conditions, because its difficult for me to understand sometimes. And there facial disfiguring and other bodily changes in the musculoskeletal realm, but these PM&R and the centers for back or spine care are to expensive for me. With my insurance, although sometimes I'm required to have copays, and or more education as an patient to be eligible. Its related to deterioration in seeing and hearing to me, because, I'm not supposed to really walk or be (stand) on my legs(feet) and pelvic or pelvis areas very much or at all. Idont have anyone to give me rides or my own automobile or an hoveround, scooter, wheelchair or an mobility assistant class yet either, and I'd only thought, I'd have to walk for a little while, I didnt expect this to even last this long, so Iwere trying to find an place which wouldn't mind my inquiry to ask for help. Causes: Blind & Visually Impaired Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To provide individualized support and tools to navigate the visual world.
Target demographics: We live in a world that is designed for those with clear vision, creating challenges for those with less than clear vision. These challenges can be intimidating, isolating, and seemingly unfair, but, we believe the quality of one’s sight should not determine the quality of one’s life. Our mission is to provide support and tools to overcome sight challenges that exist in the visual world.
Geographic areas served: We are a team in the Northeast Ohio area of professionals dedicated to providing the support and tools needed to navigate the visual world. Our team of optometrists, vision rehabilitation therapists, teachers, employment specialists and other staff assess one’s needs with empathy and professionalism, seeking to help each individual understand his or her unique vision-related challenges and the resources available to them.
Programs: Childrens services programming: infants to preschoolers learn compensatory techniques to develop skills in communication, independence, and movement. School-age children are served by our case management program, helping families access needed resources and learn advocacy skills. Young adults up to age 23 access pre-employment skills training (12,461 hours)
employment services: assistance in job readiness, job search, and employment skills. Program offerings include supported employment, customer service training, and the business enterprise program for employment in the food service industry. (4,258 hours)
casework & social services: provides assessment, intervention, advocacy, and referral services to all clients. Assists clients in navigating networks to meet individual needs. (4,185 hours)
