This organization supports many activities related to fishing and fly fishing in particular. CSF has contributed to several kids' fishing days in both dollars and volunteer assistance including fishing for handicapped kids. CSF has supplied equipment and other financial support to classroom programs centered on salmon, raising and releasing the fish into local streams. CSF has supported fishing outings for cancer survivors in both Oregon and Washington. Victims of breast and other forms of cancer have benefited from annual four digit donations. CSF has supported many environmental programs. Picking up salmon from hatcheries and distributing their carcasses in rivers to enhance the nutrients for aquatic life. Funding projects to channel stream flow to enhance fish runs. Volunteering to clean up river banks and camping facilities for recreation. Purchasing fish and helping with stocking for recreational fishing. The club has also worked with surveys of aquatic life. CSF also offers classes to the community on fly fishing, net building, fly tying, rod building, and fly casting clinics. Monthly meetings cover topics of interest and fellowship and frequent outings share fishing spots and knowledge with old hands and newcomers.
