Mission: The ymca is a charitable association dedicated to building a healthy spirit, mind, and body through programs and services.

Programs: Youth development: the olympic peninsula ymca is comprised of three branches. The clallam county (port angeles) branch the jefferson county (port townsend branch) and the newest branch in sequim. We serve the entire north olympic peninsula and include remote and rural populations. Youth programs include after the bell in both port angeles and jefferson county on site as well as in several local schools. After the bell includes academic assistance, enrichment activities especially in the arts, physical activity and nutritional support. In port angeles multiple skill building sports are offered including t-ball, basketball, soccer and flag football. In jefferson county a mentoring program-building futures is available in three communities. Jefferson county also provides an extensive summer meals and activities program that served over 12,000 meals during 2017. Healthy living: in addition to the traditional fitness programs our newest sequim branch includes a full range of aquatic fitness and recreation opportunities for youth as well as adults. Both sequim and port angeles collaborate with area healthcare providers to offer exercise and a post cancer support and wellness program. Social responsibility: the olympic peninsula ymca engages in multiple activities to support the livability of the communities we serve. We provide an aid booth for both the north olympic marathon and the ride the ridge cycle event to the top of hurricane ridge. We have adopted a section of highway 101 to provide litter control. Each year our annual campaign generates funds that allow us to honor a pledge to ensure that no one is denied access to membership or ymca programs because of an inability to pay. Since its inception the ymca has responded to society's most pressing needs by developing innovative community based solutions and uniting people from all walks of life to participate in and work for positive social change.
