we provide services such as palliative and hospice care for senior animals. By utilizing volunteer foster homes, city of elderly love rescued animals from potenial euthanasia at area animal shelters as well as prevented older animals from entering the shelter-system in the first place, when possible. This is a GREAT animal rescue group. It is completely foster based and they pull elderly cats and dogs from shelters that otherwise would have a very hard time getting adopted. I adopted my pitt bull mix in November of 2014 and she is such a joy. They gave her a complete medical tune-up before putting her up for adoption and the foster mom was so incredibly helpful with a few behavioral and dog licensing questions I had in the months after my adoption. The foster families give so much for these amazing animals and it's wonderful to be able to get some background on a pet's likes, dislikes, quirks etc from someone who really knows them before adopting. It's also very nice that most foster homes have both cats and dogs, so it's easy to know whether a dog is truly cat friendly or vice versa. Really great organization all around!
