Mission: City mission is a major food source for needy individuals in this community. The mission is the only organization in this area that serves an evening meal 365 days a year to residents and local people in need. Forty- two percent of those who depend on this service are women and children. The mission also offers monthly food boxes and nightly surplus perishables. In 2016 between january and may, 4,412 meals were served. During this period the mission was not housing women or families since those areas were being remodeled. In june, both of those areas were re-opened and during the rest of the year, another 19,239 meals were provided, an increase of 336% over the first five months. The total number of meals served in 2016 was 23,651. In 2016 by the end of may, the mission had provided 1,119 nights of lodging. The building expansion was completed in june, increasing the total number of beds from 35 to 65. Between then and the end of the year, another 9,438 nights of lodging were provided,
