the mission's day center offers day services to the homeless and those who had nowhere to go during the daytime. The goals of the center are to improve guests' quality of life and equip them with skills and tools to make them more employable and help them end homelessness in their lives. The center offers daytime shelter, morning snacks, a noon meal, and access to computers and a telephone. Volunteers help the guests prepare resumes, assist in the completion of job applications or online job searches, and teach essential life skills, such as basic budgeting, simple computer skills, good nutrition, and physical fitness. In 2016, 37 individuals found jobs through the center's services.
